Bits and pieces of their discussions are carried on the wind, taking little time to reach the corners of Esshar.

 

They speak of how the newly crowned Queen began her rule with a spray of blood, summarily executing a woman in the castle courtyards after announcing her crimes to the crowd of common-folk and magi alike. Following the death, the Queen spoke to the crowd once more, reminding them that only death awaited those who shunned the light.
