The natural order of things is to grow, though growth often comes at a cost.

  

Mankind, in many ways, shares this principal.

  

Arcadia has expanded into a city, though the rustic charm it is known for is not lost.

  

Life here remains somewhat quaint, a little busier. Liminal but with a little more permanence. Lazy smoke continues to escape chimneys as thatched buildings stand placid against a backdrop of rolling hills.

The Wolken have arrived within Meranthe, more are surely to come, but this vanguard travels from the land of Enobora to challenge their bitter rivals, the demonic wolves. Presented below, an enterprising photographer who frequents Arcadia has taken a photo of a few Arcadians, proudly posing before their apple orchard, she seems to have stuck around, too!

 

  
Arcadia has formally established it's system of Governance, labeling it a 'Guided Republic'. Not to be confused with the more democratic style of republic, it seems to have highly theocratic elements. Guided by their patrons of Caius and Pylae, and to Represent their will upon Eternia. William currently stands as the Leader of this Government, with Iaoel the Shephard and Llewellyn the Wolken as either co-leaders, or something very closely related to such. Below was a photo taken during Iaoel's speech, following his official appointment!
  

  
Finally, in more recent news, the Dread Demon of Meranthe, otherwise known as 'Godbreaker Toji' or more simply as 'Toji' in some circles, tried to make Arcadia his prey! Pushed back with the combined efforts of Arcadia and her friends and allies, he is certainly left licking his wounds! Damage was, fortunately minimal, though it is said one pig escaped it's pen, and proceeded to make a mess of the place. The following picture was taken at the scene!
  

  
Finally, following the chaos, one man was interviewed, a Drakanite by the name of Jona! He assisted heroically against the demon, striking the first blow in the defense of Arcadia! Recognized officially by Arcadia's Government by this, he was awarded a Merit of Service in commemoration of the event. He was later interviewed following this event, and the details of the interview were posted to the town-board. Word has surely spread of this event. Relations with all parties present in the defense have improved with the local populace as a result.
    

Interviewer : Why did you take it upon yourself to single-handedly fight Godbreaker Toji?

Jona : Years ago, I fought against him before Xarxes kidnapped me and submitted me to torture; it is, by all means, the worse sort of hel. It was only when I was trying my best to help a friend, Zeek, with Naerei and Frivida that he tried it, and I defeated them then. Only to then be captured. So I wanted to be the one to put him down - only to see that he grown stronger from it - oops. I also wanted to show that Dragon's Nest isn't lying dormant, and the dragons are active and will always be active, even when we're depressed.

   

Interviewer : How did you feel upon your victory against that Adonis of Demons?

Jona : Not enough, but nothing ever, truly is. But I can assure you that the next time I fight them at their best - when there is no one else in the way, I will hand-deliever you his corpse and bring nothing more than assurity and respect. I'll be a celebirty, perhaps.

   

Interviewer : What are your plans moving forward?

Jona : Well, the next step? Becoming greatness incarnate, overcoming death through a legacy, to be the next leader of the Dragon's Nest and make the dragon's fly. Then, then after, get Garett's sword back from Yugram; the monster dared hold it against me, so I'm going to crush his skull and give it back to those that deserve it.

   

All in all, things go well for this quaint city, as new friends are made, and as friendships are strengthened, who knows what the future may hold?
