The years have passed in relative quiet within the hills that cradle the Iris Association. It has cultivated a slow trickle of refugees and intrepid researchers, and those who followed along its founding have grown roots. The settlement now stands as a burgeoning village in its own right.
The Iris Association's publicly stated concerns are twofold: the alleviation of suffering through rehabilitation, shelter, and possible employment, and to seek further understanding of the sciences- primarily life and magitech.
Asylum seekers and upstart scholars lacking proper facilities or backing are always a welcome sight. The same goes for visitors, students from abroad, and volunteers as long as they’re willing to leave any hostility related to conflicts (past, present, and future) at the border.
- Construction of an observatory, expanded lab, additional public housing and merchant stalls are currently underway.
- Those interested in learning or teaching medicine, biology, and zoology are encouraged to seek the expansion of their horizons with the Association, biomagi in particular are heavily sought after.
- There’s an open call for donations of creatures capable of wielding potent magics as well as rarer specimens of mundane fauna. Canids are of greater interest.
- Engineers and earth magi for a project involving the creation of an underwater channel/observatory using the nearby lake. ("Yes I know we're getting one for the sky, but we need one for the water.")
- The Association offers its holdings as a neutral ground for peace talks and prisoner exchanges between belligerent nations. Those who haven’t received a visit regarding this matter can expect one soon.
Those with an interest in the above, or the Association in general are encouraged to contact Director Asa or Subdirector Kagumi
