The Tower of Aetius

The Tower of Aetius has never been a stranger to unusual events, and the past few years has certainly been just that. The outbreak of rabid spirit-beasts as the lower levels became a gateway into the realms beyond, unstable portals opening at a whim within the many runegates. 

On the Year of 2083, at the first month, a solar storm formed near the peak of the spire. Surrounding clouds gathered and blackened, twisting against the eternite tower, as the new arrivals found their way from the colony world of Mycenara. A dark world on the edge of the voidic north-west system, hidden far from the watchful eyes of the pantheon; there a number of Descendants and Spirit-Wards lived, after unsealing their sister following the events of the recent Grand Tournament.

For every year of passing in the corporal world, roughly ten goes by within the stars and beyond. Their return was always planned, and with it the makeup of the tower itself has been changed. The Descendants - or rather, RISE - have made themselves known. Rumors of the azure-cloaked individuals quickly spread throughout Meranthe, and their presence within Aetius...

... and their complete mastery over it, for the many secrets of the tower were passed down to a select few...
