Sainted Church vs. Golden Horde

Many accusations had been levied against the Golden Horde by Adán Avincus
The destruction of "New Dexia" along with talk of slavery and harboring of demons.

However the leader of Audhild one Benjamin Thomson instead threw blame to the former Queen of the Faeborne Aemiliya Alinteau.

Whatever the case Ventirion Calafax answered the challenge insisting on a duel to resolve the conflict. I will now bring you my firsthand account via the use of metaphysical magic implanted onto this Chronicle.






The atmosphere was tense, many gathered to listen and watch the two that would resolve things this day. Strangely a mist gathered that seem to bolster the Golden Hordes fighter. But first the two duelists traded words.









With that the duel commenced. The first bout so incredibly close reader that both duelists fell to the desert sand. I have done my very best to bring you the sights and sounds of the final moments of their duel so you two can witness. (What follows are captured images almost similar to a flip book with the way its animated showing the viewer the sights and sounds of combat.)











So the duel finished. Ventirion defeated and the Sainted church proven correct in this matter by the rules of combat one would assume. However things were not over and the two had yet more words to trade.







Ventirion manages to escape but then another issue arises by the words of Adan, an accusation levied towards the Oracle of Ahpros who was also present.







Surprisingly an attempt to Arrest the Oracle of Aphros takes place! I tried to get a word from the victor himself though he was too focused on the matter at hand and prepared to leave though not without noticing me.





A surprise ending to the story, what crimes will the Oracle be tried for exactly? Was the act of having non-magi arrest her merely performative?
Whatever the case the Golden Horde is now gone from Meranthe, a memory like what you've observed within this Chronicle.
What comes next for the sainted church, for Aphros now seemingly accused and the Oracle herself preparing for the possibility of death?
