A Newer Generation of Al'Britu

Wouldn't it be crazy if I had a child and told nobody but my mother for literal years?

Your Mother...

(Illusion - Light - Shadow)
-
-Dal-thala's local trickster.
-
-Has her image is scattered across Meranthe in plushie form for reasons she poorly explains.
-
-Almost became queen of Dal-thala once?!
-
-Helped to guide Aemiliya early in her reign as queen.
-
Found Riches in Alchemy.
-
-Called the Moon Chosen's goddess a dork and (barely) lived to tell the tale.
-
-Working on deving a unique faeborne art that YOU might be able to share in.
-
-
And also your grandmother...

(Crystal - Metal - Nature)
-
-She's still kicking even in her elder years, though not that around often.
-
-Has a favorable history with the Caewynns.
-
-Best medic in Dal-thala will heal your booboos (as long as they aren't curses from Eldridge gods. :pensive:)
-
-Also, she is an artificer with a golden anvil, it's shiny.
-
-She has been an innovator in faeborne crafts and has a few that she wasn't able to get to that you could possibly steal.
-
-Her husband (and Ariedine's dad) Axis can technically return and might come back to haunt us for not giving him his own spot in the emporium.
-
-
And... someone else?!

(???)
-
Myyrah made her a ward of Al-Britu under Camino's request.
-
Calls herself Bear despite being an Ookami.
-
She's not much of a talker and she might not be around for long, I just thought I mention her in case she is still within our walls.
--
-
And... everyone else went AFK during Yvelle's coup and the brief Vadalion occupation. It's sad but what can you do?
-
-
Now that you know about Ariedine and friends, what about you?
-

-
You're a Faeborne (obviously).
--
You are Ariedine's only biological child being created with a sperm donation.
-
The legacy and future of the Al-Britu family rest on your shoulders (no pressure).
-
You would probably have green or blonde hair and brown or blue eyes, though you might have gotten other features from your (npc) biological father that is gone forever (don't ask).
-
Magic is up to you. You could lean into you're mother's teachings and go shadows, illusions, and general trickery (which depending on what happens you might get a chance to learn Mirrorwalking,  I'd explain more ICly). You could also lean into Al-Britu's past direction in holy magics and invest in the healing arts, or maybe learn some tricks from your grandmother. You could also just follow your own path of magic and as long as it's nothing too spooky (like witchcraft, necromancy, extra) Ariedine would be chill with it.
-
You were trolled by the Ariedine Gang a few too many times, and whether you found these trolls to be amusing or frustrating is up to you.
-
If you AFK I will cry.
-
If you go traitor plot I will also cry. Please don’t…
-
You can spawn in when chosen.
-
Now the Heir has a pretty big role to play in the future of Al-Britu but they aren't the only slot in this emporium. Delphina has a long tradition of bringing orphaned faeborne children into their houses, and perhaps you could be one of these children, becoming new scions of Al-Britu. A lot of stuff applies as it does to the heir, though you can be a bit more flexible if you got a good story you want to tell. Even not being a faeborne is on the table.
-
And now for that pressing question. Why, out of all the recent emporium and looming role hooks coming in 1.8 should you choose my emporium? Well, it happens that we have quite a few things we can do together, quite a few plots we could go down if you want. Plenty of opportunity for drama, action, development, and a lot of reclaiming. Why don't I go into but a few possible paths.
-
Restore House Al-Britu

So a while back before Ariedine spawned in House Al-Britu kind of got disgraced and fell out of relevancy. I don't really recall the drama that sparked it, you can ask Myyrah for the details. Some of Ariedine's siblings tried to reestablish the house in their own ways but they didn't really get far, (also they all AFKed after Yvelle's rebellion so... yeah). Perhaps YOU may be able to do what we couldn't and reestablish House Al-Britu as a proactive force within Dal-Thala. That would be pretty crazy and I'd be down in whatever way you want to do this (within reason of course).

Invoke Obscure Arts

There are also a few dev opportunities we have lying about. From unique Faeborne arts, to spare dev materials (requiring permission), and even a few interesting ideas you can ask Myyrah about. Even if you want to try diving something out of our box Ariedine will attempt to help you do so (except the usual suspects). Perhaps you will bring in something new that might even bring Al-Britu into a golden age. Whatever it is I'm here for the ride.

Chill Out for Once
Yeah, fighting in raid after raid is cool and all but do you know what else is cool, having wholesome scenes with both friends and family. I really like trying to find those more calmer moments in rp, even in the ever war torn setting of Eternia, and perhaps we can have some of those. A lot of characters are spawning in Dal-Thala recently and with 1.8 looming it's the perfect time to forge connections and get established, wouldn't that be fun?

If any of this sounds cool to you feel free to reach me at #tyreana on discord. As stated before there is only one heir with the amount of adapted faeborne (or otherwise) being more flexible, probably being capped around 2-3. I will not be making any final decisions for 72 hours from the time I post this, giving anyone currently active a chance to pitch their ideas. After 72 hours if the slots aren't filled then I guess it will be a free for all (which it's probably going to be sadly). Even on the off chance you aren't accepted and find a few things here interesting you can reach out to Ariedine ICly if you want to collaborate or dev.
