Years turned to a full decade and more, and with them did that loose conglomeration of island homes take further shape. Fortune flourished within the eponymous Freeport, allowing it to continue doing what it had done best: call the displaced, disillusioned, and simply lost to its far-off shores from the mainland. Disordered dots of quaint island residences became connected by roads, the spaces between them filling with more carefully designed architecture. Progress seemed like a fantastically straight climb upward, for a time, but such naivete would eventually be worn. • Attaining suzerainty over Mina Solis as well as erecting a lighthouse to affirm a claim over the former isle of the Black Thorn Pirates, the Freeport has begun to exert a sizeable sphere of influence over the southwestern seas.
  
  

• Sirenian refugees have washed upon the shores of the Freeport in extraordinary numbers, finding refuge from the Sunken Order. It is said that human beings and fish can coexist peacefully.
  
  
• After insistent challenge towards their decisions by the Sunken Order, the Freeport is locked in its first direct conflict since the defeat of the Black Thorn Pirates. Opting to stay true to those Sirenians who came to them seeking shelter, come Hel or high water, the latter eventually came. From blackened waters and beneath darkened skies, the Sunken Order scored a pyrrhic victory against the Port - extracting a costly toll yet losing their very leader to captivity in the process.
  
  
• Deeming further affiliation in light of recent news to be all-around bad for business, the Freeport dissolves its previous official ties to the ancient nation of Vdalion.
  
  
• By virtue of aid lent during the Freeport's hour of need and the prospect of reparations for the death of one Samandriel, the current Diarchy of Dal'Thala is on a quick track to developing warm relations.
