Regarding the current state of the Nephilim racial 'Ignite', as someone who has been using it for a while I think there's a number of issues with it still that require addressing.
Namely, its number of ticks.
In my opinion, changing the hitbox to make the damage more consistent for people who are free-aiming the spell is a good decision that makes the spell worth picking up for any Nephilim (which racials really should be, rather than something you necessarily have to build around). However, at the moment people who combo the spell with any root are benefitting from spell much more than anyone else will be, and as a result it has been doing a notably absurd level of damage at full charge. Smart use of CC should be rewarded, as that is the point, however when the difference between using and not-using CC is that steep, it's a bit off putting.
Even with cases of whip-beams in the past, there were still people who free-aimed it and were rewarded for such, but there was no damage disparity here, merely a risk vs. reward (which admittedly isn't present with Ignite, but it does have a telegraph and accordingly balanced CD to make up for this, I feel.)
So, instead of reducing the damage per tick (of which there's 15 at full cast), I think that the max number of ticks be halved or such (maybe 8 instead the 15). Realistically, nobody who is using the spell without a root will be landing every tick, and while this would still make the spell more rewarding to those who do so, it wouldn't be quite at the level of absurdity as we appear to be seeing at the moment.
