OOC - Please follow the guidelines when making an IC post. If there's no way for someone to react to your IC post in-game, then it's not following these stated guidelines. It's also intruding on and somewhat discourteous of the thread itself by distracting unnecessarily from the announcement's purpose.

What you could do instead that'd follow the guidelines:

• respond in-game after reading the announcement
  
• after acting on it, make a follow up post (preferably a new thread) that provides key details of what occured
  

 A good reminder in general since you're definitely not the first person who hasn't followed the guidelines recently.
