"Wait... I lost..?!" - Amuni

Right before the raid on New Tannen took place Amuni was joking around with the younger population of the Dreadwoods.
They all joked about throwing one another to Osrona's gates, letting the army of star worshipers snatch their souls and send them to the skies above.
What was death like? What happened once you were felled in battle?
These things began to run across his mind as his first "raid" approached rather quickly.

"Armani?! I didn't expect him to be here, but it worked out.. well.. not really.
I was confident going into the fray, friends, allies, monsters I couldn't even beat were all around me.
I didn't think I would lose, I never needed anyone's help ever.. so it was a pretty brutal blow.
He'd gotten so strong, even sporting some flashy magi weapon.

He's blind, but this thing..? It was so eerie.. It never lost sight of me.
It felt futile, using my speed to run all around the war zone,
Armani just kept moving forward, each shot he fired burned,
Slowed my typical reactions to a crawl... it was like he'd been made just to kill me.

Maybe I just thought that in my head.

I will give him credit, he did tell me he would become stronger than me soon, but I was too quick.. I got away..

Or did he let me.. get away..?

I'm so unsure of everything.. it sucks..
I've got to get stronger too.
I was far too comfortable."

- Ramblings of the Rabid Rabbit

Soon after the Lupine inquires with some others in the dreadwoods, they all become the monsters and demons they were because of their surroundings, the hardships they endured from where they came from. The young group chats about delving deeper into the dreadwoods, hopefully coming out as strong as monsters that the inhabitants of Esshar know and fear.
