Character Name: Task

Background/History:
Task was born in the slums of the city to a family of beggars and thieves, forced to rely upon the charity of the church to make on their meager, wretched existence as a family with too many mouths to feed. Out of a sense of duty to his younger siblings, the young Task would often skip meals and pursue whatever odd jobs he could find to support them. Growing emaciated and weak, Task would have likely perished from malnutrition if not for the kindness of a city guard that found him lying in a gutter within the slums. Given food and a blanket, Task stared up with idolizing eyes at the common watchman that had saved him, and swore from that day to repay that debt in full.
From that moment forth, Task had dedicated his youth to building his body and mind towards one singular purpose, the pursuit of justice in the name of his beloved city as a member of the city watch; incorruptible and determined to protect every citizen of the city regardless of class or standing. Shadowing guard patrols throughout the city, the teenage Task gained valuable experience in the mannerisms a guard should take with their wards, and also more free food. Coming of age as a man of eighteen, the bald aspirant of justice prepares to engage in a career of law enforcement in the big city; fearless, foolish, and moderately illiterate.
