Dear Henderson and Camille Alankrantz,

My promotion to Radiant went without fanfair. There wasn't a ceremony, but I don't want you to make the trip to the city anyway. 
Things are grim. They always are. It seems like every other month, I have to attend the funeral of someone from Starfall. The caskets are almost always closed. 

I'm tired. 

I don't deserve this position. Asher would have done better at kicking the cadets into gear. Orain would have been more punctual and sharper at decisions. Isana-
It'd at least keep me busy trying to keep her in line.

You know where to go if the walls fall. I don't think I'll be joining you. I have a duty to ensure that everyone else is able to make it safety before I even think about my own. 
It's better this way.
