Letters home

Dear Henderson and Camille Alankrantz, 

Thank you so much for showing up to my recruitment day, you don't know how much it meant to see the whole family when I was being sworn in. I know I haven't sent a letter in a while, and I'm sorry! The past few months getting acclimated into the Second Dawn haven't left me with much time to pen the whole gang, so I took a day to get this all written up and sent to you. 

How's the farm? My friends Ermir and Elise bought out the place a few blocks down from the brook, so you'll have a new set of neighbors to help when they ask about crop troubles. I'm still stuck in the barracks until I'm officially a Knight, but I'm putting down money for a real house when it's time. Somewhere in the city. 

My friend Rhesus is mentoring me right now, since he entered the knighthood during school. You wouldn't believe how strict I have to act when I'm on duty. But, he's always there to keep me in line. 

I'm still shocked how quickly it all went by. Even with all the people I see on patrols, I still miss a whole lot who went back to Achyon, or somewhere else. 

...but hey! It's too early in my career to worry about things like that. Just know that I'm eating plenty and perfectly healthy. I'm going to take some time off to go home and see everybody. Can't wait to talk then.
