Key/Character: Leilani
Which Event: Call of Njorun
Responsiveness (Were their narrations posted within a reasonable time-frame and were they quick to respond?): Every narrate/RP came very quick! We didn't have to wait long for any of them.
Balance (How entertaining were the battles, and any obstacles/traps?): Jumpy did a really good job of making the fights fair. We had RPLs that ranged from 125 to 200, and no one went down consistently or went untouched! The puzzle was really, really challenging. I'm glad the others could figure it out!
Storytelling (Did it feel like an adventure, did the content of the narrations meet your expectations?): I didn't know a lot about Njorun before we went into the event, but I learned a lot during thanks to the way that he told the story. It really felt like a movie special.
Fairness (Were the punishments justified and earned, was the risk to reward ratio good?): We went from not being confident enough to fight a dinosaur to going blow to blow with the strongest Rhoynish ever, and several of the newer players in our group had to learn how to verb/adapt as things went along. Very fair and very rewarding! Even the injuries were fitting.
Overall: Like I said, most of our group is new to verbing combat and Esshar as a whole, so this was a really cool first event for us. Getting to actually meet Pariah and travel through a place that players had apparently been through a long time ago was incredible! I didn't really have much of a feel or idea for how a Njorun/Rhoynish event should go, but Jumpy was able to take my request and turn it into an amazing event that everyone enjoyed and learned a lot of lore from. Thank you!
Any other comments: We showed a lot of the Ephermis players who were on the fence about trying Esshar the event and they loved it. I think more will be coming soon? Maybe?
