Everything's on schedule and prepared, and this thread just serves of a break down of it all to read up on if you haven't already and how to approach the game for the first night as well as the beginning of the weekend.
Now on to day one, and how to approach things once you join the server, as well as some helpful information in general:
- An overview of the setting, which has sub-links to the wiki inside to respective factions and information. Osrona, Achyon, Moxtli, as well as smaller groups such as the Fireblooded, dragon slayers, Sirens, the witch cult, and some more... secretive operatives.
- Applications. Keep in mind that most of these are full now, but there's no limit on the more standard roles, such as Siren and Sarradian. If you have anything particular in mind and want to check in advance feel free to send a message on Discord or as a PM!
- The 2.1 patch notes, a break down of all of the additions and such coming with the update.
Now on to day one, and how to approach things once you join the server, as well as some helpful information in general:
- If you've been approved for a role, you'll want to a-help with a screenshot of what was approved exactly. Leadership positions and elders start at 100RPL, with the latter beginning with age nerfs. Those with a backstory in advance (such as military) start with specialized equipment of their respective faction. Be sure to be patient as we're going to be dealing with many people at once, and format your a-help like so: "Role - Screenshot Link". If there's a specific an admin is unsure on (such as a custom item) you'll have to do without it until I'm available, but we should get through everything fairly quickly.
Leadership figures will also be setting and inviting characters to their respective guilds, and I imagine speeches and meetings or whatever they have in mind would be an early priority.
- Try not to run out of your city right away and dive into enemy territory. Characters of the same faction are meeting for the first time, and they'll want to interact and figure things out (as well as get set up!). Similarly all initial conflicts for the first night should be cap 0.
- You'll likely notice that RPP gains are purposely low at the start, and this is intentional to avoid everyone blitzing a leader's RPL in the first day. Just to pace ourselves over the week and maintain a little structure. After the first two weeks and beyond the RPP rates will normalize to what we're used to.
- I've been asked how the public hiddens work exactly. At 200RPL, you get a point that you can use to unlock one. It's automated and you don't need to a-help for them, as you just purchase them from your spell menu assuming you have the token and RPP. Also, there's going to be some changes to the journal system that I'll be announcing once things calm a little, but feel free to post and update your journals as desired as it won't interfere with this; it's just simplifying things so that characters state which spell they're after rather than being awarded HT.
With that said... I look forward to it all, and thank you all for being so helpful with your feedback & support from start to finish!
