Geztelle ven Pelleaux
Stellus of Osrona
Known to many far and wide as a beacon of mercy and an exemplar of light, Geztelle has made quite the name for herself as the spiritual head of the Faith of Celestialism. Under Geztelle's leadership, the Faith has seen a reformation rooted in modernism, becoming far more accepting of those with differing religious stances, as well as merging itself with the newly founded Order of the Second Dawn.
Born as the eldest child to the main branch of the Pelleaux family, Geztelle was groomed and trained to be a leader from her youth. An aura of kindness and gentleness, Geztelle quickly grew fascinated by the tales of the Saints. From Saint Calael to Saint Pericles, the youthful Geztelle read deeply into their lives, their actions and their contributions. She grew a particular adoration for Saint Niles, a figure known as the patron Saint of house Pelleaux.
Despite being in line to inherit both the riches and the standing forces of the prestigious Pelleaux family, Geztelle ignored tradition and enlisted within the ranks of the Church as an acolyte. Dutiful and determined, she climbed the ranks quicker than any other her age, ascending to the highest rank of Stellus at the age of 20.
After the 'Pandemonium Chase' tore the land asunder, the newly appointed Stellus saw fit to see to the reconstruction of the Shimmering City directly. Whilst the guild leaders squabbled amongst themselves, Geztelle directed her manpower and resources to the restoration of their home, performing charitable work and uplifting those who had been stricken down by poverty and destruction.
When the Grimmore defected and broke away, Geztelle did not hesitate, immediately excommunicating the family as a whole. Traitors in her eyes, as well as an overall nuisance to the progression and prosperity of Osrona, though she extends her mercy regardless should they seek such.
While her personal life is shrouded in mystery, the Stellus is known as a figure any can go to for advice, as well as spiritual guidance. While the Faith does not exercise the authority and power that it once did, the Stellus is still regarded highly, commanding a sizeable force of devotees and priests herself.
While the core tenets of the Faith remain firm, those of the Illuminated, Aschea, Krausites, and many more 'good-natured' faiths are welcomed and accepted by the Church. So long as one does not stray into darkness or corruption, they are welcome among the ranks of the devout.
In recent months Geztelle has saw it prudent to dispatch missionaries and representatives of the Church to the tribes of Moxtli, an endeavor which has ended in failure. Her own views on the ritualistic religion of Gehenna is a hostile one, not at all condoning the cannibalistic tendencies of certain tribes, or the practice of human sacrifice.
Her focus is set upon the position of Archmagi, a title which she does not covet for herself in the slightest. Rather, she intends to ensure that the appointed is someone who the people can trust, and will go to any length to safeguard the future of her people as a whole. Prioritizing prosperity and progress rooted in steadfast devotion, Geztelle remains wary of Barsburg.
Only time will tell what her story holds, but the stage is set.
