1755 AC

The year of 1755 is one of introspection for Theria after its defense of the mountain. The preservation of Garljing’s rest, the keeping of the countless hatchlings that adorned the mountainside, a sense of relief, validation in resolve, and burning wonder for what the future held for the free city of the mountain Tarian. 

Never one to make bad use of his remaining time, the elder statesman of Theria Dun Task would take this time to call a press release, heralding a new age for Theria in the years to come.

Finley Ghede, an elf born of witchblood, declared that my family and I were a rot within this city. That to give us up would preserve Theria without any bloodshed. But we. ARE. THERIANS! Of blood and ash and steel. Any freedoms given away for safety are but a gilded cage, fighting and dying for the right to do what we please is what this city’s principles were founded upon.

I have given everything I have to this city. Many call me a traitor, a schemer, a vagabond who is untrustworthy. And all of these things are entirely true. But none of them apply to you, my dear sons and daughters of the free. We are dragons, and our word is flame. In the eighty eight years since I first arrived here, I have spent everyday fighting for its independence, and I will continue to do so until my last breath.

I’ve got a handful of years left at most with the path I take, but I will not pass until I offer my final gift to you. My pilgrimage of the spirit realms had borne much fruit, and as my expeditions galvanized my resolve through endless trials, so too will I offer it to you my treasured people, the gate of the realms will stand tall with a Task baring its Masterkey.


But with this, so too must I prepare for my demise. As my son Revan takes my place as patriarch of the Fireblooded order of the Pyrelight Citadel, as all those who came before me must I too contribute to the Canticles of Ash. And so, I would declare our own saintly figures, three true Dragons who were paragonic of the draconic virtues they represented.

Another ad appears to display the long dead Slick Sicks in a newspaper comic form, appearing to rise from the dead in a slow fashion while jumping around in cheer only to be struck by a lightning bolt, falling right back into the grave after leering at a woman in a dress. It appears Slick Sicks has been immortalized as a fool.

Dragonlord Bastiel, the Dragon of Instinct, who before any stood against Petrakis imperialism and Kriemhild degeneracy with immediate reaction and violence. His foresight against threats inside and outside of Theria even to his last breathe in self-imposed exile fighting in Myllenorris is to be followed, lest the free city fall once more to decay and Sluthian nepotism.

Dragonlord Rinn, the Dragon of Preservation, who remained in Theria when all had left; driven away by Lynette’s attacks, and took Bastiel’s mantle as Dragonlord at the young age of sixteen before proceeding to lead Theria through the first siege and the eventual sacking of Osrona. Her personal philosophy of preserving Theria’s people and devotion to preserving Garljing’s rest at any cost was a point of conflict often in her personal politics, but no warrior ever questioned her bravery as she refused to be spared by her husband’s killer in a duel to the death. To preserve the hatchlings that another generation might rule the skies is an utmost duty of a true dragon.

And lastly, Dragonlord Sythaeryn, herald of Vartuul, the Dragon of Retribution, who with righteous fervor purged Theria of the corruption that had been laden throughout its core with deep seated roots in a massacre of the Kriemhild clan of nepotists as the leader of the four horsemen in fire and blood. His determination to slay enemies of dragonkind inside and out even to this day upon the frontlines of the Barsburg campaign stands as a paragonic representation of the ruthlessness a dragon must manifest to preserve the hoard, the sanguinary exaltation that must oft come to cleanse the spirit of the city from rot.

With this organization of the faith comes a change. With the retirement of Thalis Avitus after his final boxing match against Kofe ending in a victory, and Marzius Volgin dead, a new generation of Theria can aspire to be the warlords at the forefront of our city’s operation. With this, Valero Task the black knight has declared himself Overlord of Theria, with Hades Task risen as the Warlord of Industry to replace his own position. Redwood, returned to Theria at last, has taken his mantle as one of the young Dragonlords of the city. The Pact of Beasts awaits the answer of the drums of war, prepare yourself for what comes.

-Valero Task, the black knight, has declared himself Overlord of Theria, willing to take any challenges to the claim with his legendary swordspear. 

-Hades Task is now a warlord, his demesne being the factory and the continued work upon the great realm gate. 

-Dragonlord Redwood has been returned safely, and is once more the heart and soul mascot of the Therian council.

-Three draconic saints have been declared for the virtues they embodied in life, preceding the fresh codifying of the Fireblooded philosophy by the Chief Chronicler of the Fireblooded, Pachua.
