A sharply dressed felinae will be running for Magistrate.
In a split second E.L was on the stage and ready to give his speech but whatever confrontation was going on between Walter and the two other people caught his focus. "Hey excuse me what the fuck?" But eventually he got into the right state of mind for his speech. "Now, i know i may not be the most known but that's okay. My name is E.L and i am one of your candidates for Magistrate." He stood as proud as one could in the stage, his golden shades being the one thing that obscured his focus of the people before him. "I may not even be the best speaker but i will try my best to get the point across." text wall time
Immediately he moved onto his first promise with a tone that was booming with confidence on the face that was far more than determined..
"One of the things i've noticed is the shortage of Vigilant Watch members running around and keeping the people safe, why is that? I blame it on the high mortality rate that comes with the job and do you know why that is? I say it's because of low morale that comes with such a job. I believe that increased pay could motivate some to join."
The golden shades that were slowly sliding off with every word and promise given by the felinae ere pushed back up onto his face.
"I plan on bringing artificers and alchemists to help with them in their protection of our city. If needed, i will work to raise a base of operations for the Vigilant Watch or whatever else they request."
"Mind you, all of this will be coming out of my pocket but no worry because any money to help is absolutely worth it." It would hurt his pockets and business but business is always about giving people things they need.
"But hell, i could be completely wrong about this and going the wrong way about it and if there's a better way, just say so." A less confident, more reserved tone accompanied his last words on the Watch. "Nothing short of my best will be given to assist."
The stern look relaxed and his original tone at the start of the speech returned. "Too many stalls have been occupied by those merchants who've been at it for years and building mountains of coin with little to no competition. The question is not when will they croak, but when will the newer up and coming artificers, alchemists, gatherers and adventurers or whatever you want to call it finally get a chance to open up their own shop?" Steel hues looked around the people to see their reactions.
"Any funds acquired after most of my promises have been fulfilled, whether it be out of my pocket or from a donation will be used to build stalls and low priced ones at that." It was something that would appeal to many people who had never been given the chance to get their shops or names out there.
"The Church will be asked to work with those hunting demons to bless their weapons and provide medical aid to those wounded in the defense of our Shimmering City. It will show that those who are willing to bleed for in the battle against the demons will be supported in their endeavors." After all that time, the issue he cared about the most came.
"No matter what the current issue we have is, demons will always be present and choosing to do their absolute best to annihilate regardless of faction or reputation until they are dealt with. Whether it be from wiping them out or forcing them to leave some other way." Under the golden frame of his shades, a felinae disgusted with how the very thing he despised most was running free. The disdain reflected in his speech.
"They are creatures born of helheim with their only purpose to take from you, to rip away those loved ones you cherish and to cut you, burn you and rip you apart until the world is nothing but their own desecrated land, plagued with corruption and it's spawn running rampant."
"We need to gather as much manpower as we can to deal with the demonic threat whether it be from the Watch, Church, concerned citizens, or even guilds dedicated to fighting evil." With his righteous hatred and stance on demons known, his face relaxed into an almost warming smile. "A good example for those fighting evil is the Giants guild, every encounter i've had with them was with their fight against demons near our city. Now, why are those demons near our city, maiming or capturing those unfortunate enough to come into their view? When did we become so splintered to have it be a danger to travel outside the walls of our glorious city?" A deep sorrow washed over him. How could they have become threatened by something that should have been stomped out years ago? "I'm not sure how long ago it was but i will work to bring this age of demons terrorizing our people to an end."
There were many people who had done unforgettable atrocities to the people of Osrona and one he hadn't forgotten was the creatures who saw themselves fit to lord over their percieved lessers. "Speaking of terrozing our people, let us not forget the teraphim. Now, i could go on a rant about how those teraphim torched the entire place we called home and attempted to genocide every single one of us before replacing our horrible rule and then walking out as if nothing had happened. I would love to see them pay in blood or coin but it would be a poor idea to fight them and their allies with the demons running amok."

Legally dickless.
