Jumpy's Jungle Jym: Episode II — Attack of the Hiddens
#11
Key/Character: XKt/Marie ras Petrakis
Which Event: The Swords in the Stone - The Vault of Osrona.

Responsiveness: For seven players, it went about as quick as it could have - was very impressed at the speed of the DM.

Balance: This was actually the most fun part for me - the story and vault implemented a fun weight mechanic, so the bosses were primarily scaled around that (until the second half of the final phase), and the first fight was by far some of the most fun I've had on an event. It was super cool, and I had a really great time.

Storytelling: This was also where the DM excelled - one of the first real heavy posts of the Dungeon was putting the characters into a place where they were separated from the others and got to see an alternate view of their potential lives. I can't speak on how well written this was for the other characters, but from my own perspective, the DM managed to write something really cool for what he knew about my character. A lot of fun on the story in this dungeon.

Fairness: The fights were fair, and punishments are fine - but the loot table was the most disappointing for me, at least primarily /just/ on my side (as the rewards for other characters was very cool). It was an event that I had went out of my way for some time to set up with Ilio, and I had him do the post - so going in, I was /very/ excited for anything: Dev, Fluff Items, or the Sword we intended to get for Marie ahead of time. It wasn't mentioned to me that it would have to be a two-part event beforehand and having run on no sleep to make the event (24 hours awake by the time it ended), I was admittedly a bit disappointed walking away empty-handed on a High CoD event that I set up with Ilio. That being said, one of the rewards gotten for another character was super cool, and I'm incredibly excited to see where that goes ahead of time, and it's understandable that it'd be a two-part event given what we were going for, all things considered.

Overall: 10/10.

Any other comments: I want to stress that it was by far the best event I've been on - it was a lot of fun, and while I was disappointed with the ending, Jumpy is a fantastic DM. It was very well written, had a lot of fun plot threads, the bosses were extremely fun, and overall I can't say that I've /ever/ had a more fun event. I'm very excited to see Part 2 (following a story thread from the Vault), and whatever cool mechanics or story comes with that, and see where Jumpy takes it!
