Active Damage Reduction Stacking
#1
ok kids it's time to talk about the issue we've seen around and it got fixed with holy/occult no longer giving shield. Yep that's right, we're not talking about Mcap DR so shut the fuck up and leave it alone We're talking about Active Damage reduction. Now, I know what you're thinking, "What's the difference?? Isn't it all DR??" and I'm here to tell you

NO

Active Damage Reduction would be spells and abilities (Holy/Occult/Energy shield, Fomorian, Drak scales, etc) that you press a button and get Damage Reduction that would effectively be as if you were blocking. (Or in some cases, let's you trade blows or just hunker down and take even less damage) Now, I know some of you who are all proud of being tanky and whatnot (looking at you, blood tree) but there has to be a limit to how many active damage reductions you can use at a time. And with the rate that this is going, we're going to need to find a way to make damage reduction possible without outright butchering it so that agility nerds can reign supreme again (rip 50% fomorian good night sweet prince)

I'm not sure if it's, at all, possible but adjusting it so that the damage reduction is multiplicativeĀ instead of additional to block? Maybe? Or better yet, just set the hardcap of damage reduction to 70% so that, no matter how many shields you got or whether or not you decide to slap on your ass three goddamn shields and decide to block, you're not taking 0% damage because HURR DURR ME DAMAGE REDUCT MEME because let's face it, we're all sick of this meme and it's as stale as Q/E unarmed agility stunlock.
