The patrols which streak along the paths of the line of watch towers which surround the borders of the princedom noticed it. Coreborating information which had been shared with the princes some months prior until the signs became undeniable. Horns were blown, and the crown called for its levies to be raised.

Thankfully, they were not caught unaware, not this time.. Soldiers began to equip themselves, drilling became more frequent, the carpenters laboured day in and out to ensure each sections of the castle walls were equipped with ballistas. A tool of war particularly useful for felling heavy hided beasts, the likes of which they knew they would soon face.

The clattering of hooves and smacking of metal, shouts and cries, many remained calm. Holding faith that their walls would hold them.. The people of the princedom had spent countless days fighting off attack after attack, this would surely be no different. Many had fallen in the face of adversity, but it would not be they. Countless readied themselves for what was to come, for the Reckoning ahead.
