The next entry is vastly different from the others. It's not titled, and there are jumbles of numbers - mathematical equations - scribbled in the margins as if he's desperately tried to math out the logical probability of what had happened actually occurring.

And so, just like that, you leave. You choose him. You choose him. I was minutes away from offering myself to make sure you weren't killed and instead you choose him and you blame me for it.
You blamed all of us.
But you blamed me.

And maybe you're right, maybe it was my fault. That I couldn't talk you down from thinking you were unstoppable in your old age, that I couldn't provide a cushy retirement like you deserved. After all, you gave us all the world.

You declared to the world you were proud of me. That I am your greatest success.

But if that were true, then surely you wouldn't have done this - right? He takes, and he takes, and he takes from our family. He claims he does it out of care, but what care is this? What love is this? What pride is this?
