"Life is too short to read bad books."
This was the Pontifice's first response to the announcement of Shiri Shi Shigenobu's "Aphrosian Dogmata". Apparently this bit of trenchant wit, as openly-advertised as it was, merely served to conceal the turning of larger wheels in the Umbral dark.
A short time later, without even waiting for the book's official publication, a more formal response goes forth.
