Event: Chasing A Song
An event that put emphasis on the participant's stories, one where every single character had a moment that made them special. An effective way to keep those attending focused, as the engagement of everyone is what the DM was striving for and succeeded in it nicely. As one of the issues (EU players!) I appreciate the timely finish in order to not have me miss out on anything that could have happened.
The fights were very enjoyable and structured akin to MMO patterns though sometimes switching up to target you within boundaries of good fun - that is by keeping track of your current HP.
Not a single person came out empty-handed and the entirety of the faction accomplished something as a result, the rewards are tangible past receiving a dev item and have real impact. You can tell that the DM was interested in our characters and how they would react to things rather than trying to achieve a linear goal, changing things on the fly to support whatever ideas the players had.
A stellar example of DMing, worth entrusting important storylines to.
