This would make people use commend more commonly; especially after a danger- just because they know the other person needs it, and they themselves need it too..
I'm not too sure that's a desired outcome!
Also it would make factions either more or less significant; either only "real" factions count and as such, it's the leader who chooses who gets what. Or they'll upgrade more people to higher ranks. Both are kind of undesired outcomes as well..
Or everyone will create their own mini factions of like 5 people and all be high rank, if that's allowed.
I like the idea, but it'll just create different issues, won't it? Or am I just being paranoid?
I think the best approach for applications is to use a merit system of some kind, if we want to skip the tedious reviewing process.
* After your character does something significant, you get a merit point. (Ticket for it)
* Participating in wars or raids and getting a capture
* a DM can reward a single merit point to one player in an event after it ends. Points could even be given during the event!
* Mentoring or being mentored could provide a point.
Then after reaching X merit points, X rpl, X Dangers and X influence, you could purchase what you want like in the shown template by Chance.
Something like that sounds better to me, but I like the idea of trying to change it up at least... The way things are now, burning out is almost inevitable for the app team with how many applications there is.
