2124 AC
Following a period of seeming hibernation, The Traverse revealed what it had been working on these past long years. Previous work under the Spiritmancer Aislinn, with the assistance of the great water spirit Iltheris, along with the recruitment of earth magi, finally bears fruit: The islands colloquially known as Port Fortune and Raven's Hold have been merged, creating a larger landmass that is both easier to build upon for those that dwell upon land, as well as has accessible shorelines and shallows for all those of a more aquatic bent. Minas Solis now stands grandly as the center of the Traverse.
In addition, the master Wayfinder Mnemosyne, with the assistance of other wayfinders and artificers, finally creates the first stable Waygate outside of the Tower of Aetius in generations to be seen in Meranthe. This Waygate links The Traverse with the mainland, just outside Gloomlight, with the intention of living up to the name and goal of the Traverse: To link the Land and Sea, and be the bridge for both people.
As a result of the Waygate, and the more stable land size, trade has begun to flourish within the nation. Acting as a port town, land-based merchants are able to more easily trade with sailors and vice versa than ever before. Whilst the Waygate doesn't allow for the transport of wagons and other such things, peddlers are more easily able to come and go, and establish deals and shipments that they otherwise could not.
With trade on the rise, The Traverse extends the invitation to settlers from all nations seeking a new start to help make The Traverse a booming city. Plans are being made for a proper market square as the city builds from its large upheaval, and with its path towards growth secured, The Traverse turns its sight outwards.
As part of an unofficial agreement with the Kingdom of Fortune, The Traverse helps police the waters of the Southern Seas, asking that settlers to the unclaimed islands speak with representatives of either (or both!) Kingdoms to establish friendly ties. Those that do not do this are met with suspicion and hostility. An effort being made by the seas to make sure no trace of the Fel takes root due to ignorance and apathy.
Mnemosyne Montelione has begun preparations towards the next steps to protect the sea, gathering the energies of faith in tandem with Iltheris.
With the grand move complete, construction begins on a grand lighthouse and clocktower, meant to serve as a place of worship to Memoria, and a place of teaching. An investment in the future fates of all. Rituals are prepared to the Constant of Time by his Champion, Elizabeth Montelione.
