Which Event: Kal'gal, pig prime

As this wasn't an official even sort of thing I'm going to be a rebel and break formatting. It was a very nice thing for Mal to do after I left an offhanded remark in the discord. As soon as he was finished with work he hopped on to do this little scene with me and even if he was still playing an ARAM at the start of it, leading to small narrates I really appreciate he work with this.

Very cute, very nice, please read my RPs next time.

If you would like a rating then 8/10.

Which Event: Homecoming

Responsiveness (Were their narrations posted within a reasonable time-frame and were they quick to respond?): the responses were pretty quick, was little to no waiting on the DMs side

Balance (How entertaining were the battles, and any obstacles/traps?): it was a puzzle event for the most part, and the puzzles were pretty fair. i enjoyed the hangman one a lot

Storytelling (Did it feel like an adventure, did the content of the narrations meet your expectations?): good storytelling that you'd expect

Fairness (Were the punishments justified and earned, was the risk to reward ratio good?): pretty fair considering the odds

Overall: 10/10

Which Event: New Beginnings

Responsiveness: 5/5. Your WPM is just as fast as mine, but more accurate. I appreciate it. Well worth the consideration every time.

Balance: 5/5. You had a solid grasp on how to handle a full 1v5 with your EC. Your main puzzle was simple, but effective, and helped with:

Storytelling: 5/5. Beautifully interwove almost every background lore source to Eternia without going too Tolkien, nor skimming too many relevant line items.

Fairness: 5/5. Stood the test of an HCoI event. Standard fare here.

Overall: yes

Character: Svengalf Sandsker
Which Event: A new beginning

Responsiveness : The narration came right in time ! No wait for too long, feels like it was on the average posting time of all players, so all good !

Balance : The first puzzle, I think I may have overthought too much for something that may had a simple answer. So it's on me ! Curious if the result was the least worst !
The two EC fights were good and tense ! The first one had a little problem : white RPB borders on snow tiles, which sometimes cut my path while fleeing some spells. Second fight used the whole arena who was perfectly shaped. The thematic of the EC were grand, the first fight was challenging, but doable with the right coordination ! The second fight, oh dear, that second phase was scary. And I really loved the bullet hell at the end. It was entertaining.

Storytelling : Cute mountain climbing. We had some good action and self reflection. Also that narration on the second fight, I really appreciate being allowed to be creative with some ressources :)
Everyone had something from it, and in the end, everyone was connected with one common thing.

Edit : the narrative parralel with Aphros was awesome too. Truly it felt like the whole world was living.

Fairness : The fights were rough but fair, threatening us to not be too reckless, but giving us room to recover between the trades as we had two healers to alter the focus. The injuries sustained were also thematic : it's a mountain climb, eventually it was a race against the exhaustion and wearyness.  Everyone got their rewards, and punishments were appropriate after some *reckless action* >:C

Overall: 9/10

Other than the small frustration of the RPB arena blending with snow, it was a very nice event for a first time for me ! I really appreciated and I would love to do more :>

Which Event: New Beginnings

Responsiveness: 5/5 - Your timing was absolutely impeccable, and I was surprised by how little time you took per narration! Each one was just as good as the last narrate; I was pretty hyped up throughout the entire event.

Balance: 5/5 - I was quite surprised by how well balanced your ECs were, especially with five post 200 RPL characters there! The first major fight spooked the fuck out of me, especially when I sat in Sven's crystal aoe near his tree for healing, and you threw four tidal waves at me, lmfao. I was screaming, and had to run away immediately to avoid further destruction. Either way, I really enjoyed every fight and thought they were all well balanced. Not too overwhelming, not too underwhelming!

Storytelling: 5/5 - A lot of fun, really! The first portion of the narratives, as explained in my responsiveness critique, hyped me up so much for the entire event. Everything felt very nicely paced, accurate to the story, and you were extremely attentive to all of the RPs and responding nicely. A bit of comedic relief from the first fight was a ton of fun and hilarious. The addition of prompting the character towards Vera Cruz district going up in flames was perfectly immersive despite the grim nature of the war tonight, which was a nice touch to the narrative.

Fairness: 5/5 - HCoI event where all PCs got really nice dev items for themselves according to the lore of the character's stories. It was very wholesome, and I'm incredibly happy with how you described each dev mat you had for the event.

Overall: 1000/100 - Highly recommend Mal for your events. Everything went so smoothly, and I had so much fun. The event itself was adventurous, dangerous, but also lighthearted and hopeful. I hope everyone else had just as much fun and got cool dev out of it all! To top it off, the perm injuries I sustained with Eivor (shared injury) is so fucking wholesome. My expectations were exceeded.

Which Event: New Beginnings

Responsiveness: Extremely quick and well written throughout, even the improvised ones due to our antics.

Balance: Was awesome, too. Appropriate actions nerfing or impacting the EC's powers was also a very nice and creative touch! First fight specifically was VERY enjoyable.

Storytelling: Loved the inclusion of current events (Vera Cruz's razing) being mentioned and visible, making the event feel that much more alive. The first battle was also hilarious, and loved the perms we got; character driven and wholesome.

Fairness: I really loved the dev mat I got; versatile, too, left open plenty of room for future fluffs or events chaining from them. 100% satisfied.

Overall: 10/10 - it was fun and engaging event, hitting all the marks that were needed to be hit and more.

Hello.
As you may or may not notice or care, I am doing DMing again. But I am more particularly picky about it and have particular rules about them that must be adhered to if you wish for me to run it:

1: They must be thematic and interesting and fit in lore with some slight variations.
2: We work on my time on the days that I don’t work, which is Sunday and Monday respectively.
3: I will only do one event at a time with **theme appropriate** development items (means that if you go expecting a flame sword in the the sewer, you’re getting a glizzy, tuna sword with water and poison on it)
4: I give leeway to those who respond quickly and don’t hold the group up.

So if your idea is fun, lmk and I’ll see. But I am booked currently!

Which Event: There and Back Again

Responsiveness: Quick and well-written, even when he had to improvise.
Balance: The fights were fun, difficult for sure, but fun. Each enemy had a specific pattern and teamwork was rewarded.
Storytelling: This is where Mal outdid himself. It was a rollercoaster of emotions. And I was happy to see that everyone had at least one special moment at this event, like Hina and Eivor's wedding for example.
Fairness: It is fair to say that we all got something nice from this. No complaints here. With how much thought was put into each item, it almost feels like we got away with too much.

Overall: 10/10.

Which Event: There and Back Again (The Illuminated Ritual of Rays)

Responsiveness: 5/5 - Every narrative was prompt - there were no delays! Each narration was also highly attentive to the RPs of the characters and very engaging!

Balance: 5/5 - The fights were a TON of fun! Mal really knows how to balance out his ECs according to the magics of the EC and the PCs in attendence. Every EC was very unique and fun to deal with, especially the Dragon 'Big Payback' and the Firebird. All fights in the event were rather difficult, but also unforgettable.

Storytelling: 5/5 - Wholesome event despite being HCoD. There was a lot of self reflection and acceptance for every character that joined (6). To rectify your sins and accept yourself. I love incentives like this, so the concept of the event was very motivating given the direction of my character, too. Very emotional as well, and spiritual! And, the fact that the Fox Avatar wedded Eivor and Hina was quite hilarious as well. I half expected it once we were teleported to that island, but when you made the narration? I was in tears and very much entertained by the whole thing.

Fairness: 5/5 - Everyone got something about of it, be it dev for their characters or items. For a highly religious event with hints of spiritualism and sin rectification, the rewards were appropriate. I hope everyone was able to have fun.

Overall: There's never a dull moment in a Mal event, honestly.

Miko getting her self acceptance RP was absolutely endearing, and I hope their player had a nice dev moment from it! Then, Eivor and Hina getting married was half expected once I saw the location in game, but when it did actually occur from the narration by the familial tenets of the Illuminated? I was amused and very content; it was wholesome, and they had close friends there to witness the little ceremony. Super wholesome.

Eivor trying to give Big Payback a hug was one of the funniest things I've ever encountered in any RP, but even funnier when Fire Bird spammed him in R1 of our last fight and called him a little bitch baby. I was in tears laughing my ass off.

This was probably one of the most memorable events I've ever had on this game. Thank you for running it and making it interesting, Mal! Keep it up!

Event: Into the Burrows
Character: Ludmaz Dawnseeker

Narrations: Pretty quick and straightforward, with what was needed without running around much. With responses to what had to be responded to.

Balance: Aside from the last fight where I got nuked by some BBs, the fights were pretty well balanced. Not easy, yet not that difficult. Good work here!

Story: A fun story, about the past of the Gutter. And the ramifications of the actions of those that lived there. With some references to the past. Loved it, quite fun.

Fairness: Nothing to complain, got slapped with injuries, but we all got some cool radioactive reward in return.

Overall: Had lots of fun, could watch a person suffering a lot for eating what they should not. Got some nostalgia to the past of E3 and also, became more Schizo. Overall, a great experience.
