Séven's Treatise: Fate's Waltz Stance
#41
Spirit Realm – Helheim

The realm of the lost, a place that the most destitute of souls go as their hatred and regret linger beyond their mortal coil. This place, what is spawns are of the most abhorrent creatures, souls twisted by darkness and a will to commit to violence exists here. The lesson is that endangering your soul and will to dark designs can leave you a husk only bent on making other suffer.

It is a pity to see these souls become demons as their hearts are poisoned by the river stix that runs through the realm. That being said, we must understand what these souls carry. An irredeemable level of violence that even our form, the Fate’s Waltz Carries. We teeter on the edge of this mentality with the will to do battle at its most violent form. To strike one down takes an amount of dark will that we must be sure to come back from. Waltzing with something like fate has its risk, and it should not be taken lightly.

What we take is their erratic in movement, their efficiency in combat, and their willingness to go the extra mile to succeed... Dancing with this takes effort, and in their realm, their power is enough to frighten even the lord of fire Ryuujin.

The Soul – Basis

The word “soul” can be used in two different ways. There is the pure soul, the Spirit of Kraus in each individual, which is ever-existing, ever-conscious, ever-new Bliss. The soul, as Kraus’s reflection, has the same qualities as Kraus.

However, the soul can become identified with the physical body, and take on its nature. References to “spiritual progress” or “soul evolution” use this definition, because the soul that is aware of it’s true identity as part of Kraus is already perfect. Souls only evolve or progress in the sense that they go from identifying with their physical bodies to identifying with Kraus.

Reincarnation starts from crystals and reaches the human sphere of existence. After eight million lives, the soul passes to the body of a man. Matter suppresses the Spirit, which is trying to reform matter from within by evolutional coaxing.

A metallic soul, a vegetable soul, and a human soul: the bodies are different, but the soul is the same. Reincarnation is the process through which the Spirit returns to Itself — from the many to the one.

The body is the residence and the soul is the resident. The fleshly house is perishable and the soul, being the image of Spirit, is imperishable. Therefore, when the body dies, the soul has to shift somewhere else for shelter. Because of the soul’s intimate contact with the body, it develops physical desires. These imperfect material attachments cling to the disembodied soul and prevent it from returning to the Spirit. Thus, the immortal soul has no other alternative but to come back to the mortal school of life to work out its imperfections.

The Soul – True Power

The soul itself is what drives magic, this is a known fact that all magi live by. Tapping into the true power of yourself brings a form that reaches close to divinity, that being said reaching that level of power takes a myriad of years of experience. Diving deep within ourselves to use the true potential of the soul *without* using the soul itself as an energy source first demands an intimate relationship with the soul.

Our mortal flesh is not the true memories of our soul, we reincarnate with each death that we experience and our physical memories are wiped. That being said, the soul eternally remembers, tapping into those memories allows use to wield the true potential of our hundreds of years of existence. Using those memories has a feeling that we are familiar with. That feeling that is even greater than flow, where our use of magic is at its perfect form, predicting everything around us and having a foresight that rivals that of the gods. This is something that we are all of capable, and when we reach that point, we are able to manipulate many aspects of life that normal magi cannot.

This is the basis of Fate, the strands that link us together.

The Soul – Memories

The memories of our past life come in many different forms as we walk through our current life. Reaching these memories require a self-hypnosis and experience in the spirit realm for a strong foundation of knowing your own soul. As you dive deeper into these memories, your soul is strained, diving this deep with a physical body can cause a form of degradation on mental stability as well as physical.

With proper balance the *weight* of our soul’s energy becomes stronger, this weight comes in the form of a VERY powerful projection of mana. As this mana projects, we use it with the previously discussed ways in regards to the form. Doing this for extended periods of time can fatigue and even fell us to our own ambition. Short bursts of recalling are important, take advantage of this trance state to its fullest potential. The memories we tap into will not always be clear, but the emotional weight that they have empower us to the point of Exaltation.

The strongest memories that the soul carries are the most traumatic, so steel your will so that you will not break! This is important, the simplest way to train yourself is through deep meditation. It is platitudinous to say, but it is quite literally the only defense we have against our own soul’s memories when they are too much for our current vessels ability to handle. Having others to bring you back from the brink is also important if it gets to a point where you lose your identity...

The Soul – The Arcane

The arcane arts, the most primordial form of mana usage that has ever existed. The most common that we experience are going to be Holy Arts and Occult Arts. Both of which exist in the *same space*. They are one in the same and cannot exist without the other, two sides of the same coin. We have discussed this aspect before earlier in the manuscript but it is doubly important to understand the nature of the arcane.

Both Holy and Occult have the power to *corrupt* the vessel of the soul equally. While holy magic does draw from benevolence, it can cause a rigidity in thought that leaves one blind to the needs and desires of others. A god complex that subjugates and oppresses those you are willing to protect and serve leaves you a tyrant.

Occult magic draws their energy from a different place, some would call it profanity, depravity, but in reality, it comes strictly from desire. That desire is in the deepest part of our minds and souls, and drawing from it is EXTREMELY dangerous, reaching that power allows you to project you will on others, even create things we could consider miracles. To tap into the arcane, we literally have to tap into the realm of the gods themselves. This is the pinnacle of magic that humans can achieve at the highest level save the divine.

The Soul – The Mortal Seal

The seal, it is an aspect of the human soul that is created as we enter our vessel. The soul energy potential is extreme. Kraus himself used his soul to create the realm that we exist, and while our soul’s energy cannot reach that level of power, it can come close... at a cost. The heart of the soul is consumed and burns out, and as lesser souls, our energy is not recoverable. As it burns, it leaves forever until you reach true oblivion.

It is obvious that using the soul will end us, but some teeter on breaking that seal. The level of power that it takes to break the mortal seal is astronomical, sometimes it even requires residuals of divine energy left in artifacts. That being said, the concepts of Fate’s Waltz walk us dangerously close to the passive way that the seal can break... through erosion.

Constant use of tapping into the memories of our soul causes that erosion, but it is recoverable, using that knowledge comes at a price and we must balance our time in between each use to ensure that the seal isn’t destroyed and as a result, we are destroyed. The Mortal Seal, is a simple but important rule to know, DO NOT BREAK IT AT ALL if you can help it.

Death is final but not the end, oblivion is the TRUE END.

Epilogue – Meaning.

This manuscript was more than just to learn a fighting stance to do battle, or even a religion or code of conduct to walk about the streets. This was made to be willing to open your mind to the possibilities that exist. To be willing to learn, to understand and make your judgements based on those merits of the will of others, their desires and motivation.

Many in this land of Esshar walk with preconceived notions on how to conduct themselves and how everyone should live their lives. Their willingness to enforce that ideal has cause many frictions that gave birth to the conflict that we face now. We move about in fear and in pride alike, but it takes more than just swinging a sword or spouting dogma to fix things to a way that we all will be satisfied.

We have to understand that things can’t be fixed because they are not broken, paradigms change in life, and ways of thinking will change as we learn more. Our only mode is to learn and adapt as the times do, to aid those who call for help and continue to be better without being a detriment to the story and path of others.

We may add others to our path, we may discard others, but we must at least try.

Epilogue – The Journey.

The journey that we take from here will be a difficult one. No matter what state the country that you live in, when you read this book understand that you have the power to change that state if you see that it is something that echoes in your heart. Don’t be afraid to make motions, don’t be afraid to involve others in your story, allow those threads of fate to entangle with others of like mind and walk that road together if you wish.

If you wish to walk alone, then Godspeed to you, there are many things in this world that can only be done with your own merit. No matter the path you choose, give it your all and never hold back your passion and emotion. Show others this way of life, allow them to understand what it means to walk between the threads of fate and show them joy, anguish and all the emotions that are in between them. Life is full, so long as you tap into the fire that breathes inside of your soul and spread that flame as a light to illuminate those who perceive themselves to be lost.

A place of worship, an ideology, or even as simple as learning a new way to fight. Life is bountiful, be the light that inspires!

Epilogue – Adversity

There will be those who challenge your way of life, those who even wish to take it. This form is there to protect yourself and prove that you have the will to defend your way of life no matter what sort of challenge it faces. That being said, when it is challenge, you must take away from those who challenge you, to be rigid is to be stagnant.

Stagnation is the end of all.

Adapt to adversity, even if it requires you to take a step back from battles that you know you cannot face on your own. There is no shame to know where you stand, fate has a road map for us all, but that map changes with each entanglement. Navigate through the throes of conflict and know your true self, focus and embrace things that make you reexamine your path. The more that you learn, the stronger that you become. The Stronger you become, the more you can bring that change....

Adversity builds us up to a point where we can see the sun, and hold others high so that they too can see the sun in the darkest of times that we may face. There is only one thing that holds us back, fear of the unknown.

Epilogue – Dedications To

First and Foremost,

al-Azis, - who brought me to the light of life, his initial guidance showed me what it meant to feel the power of holy magic that swells within my soul. While was a very rigid man, he help me ignite the spark that brought me to this point.

Solon – He was a wild man, a knight of the first light who truly opened my eyes to the dangers that we face with each day. He himself was felled on duty and inspired me to become a doctor in the first place. He had done so much for what he believed and I only wish that I could see his face and tell him how much he had changed my life...

Keiran – A man who should me what it meant to true dive into the core of my soul. He too was felled in battle, but he showed me the stars, and a light that allowed me to push my holy magic to a level that I never know was possible. A man of great integrity.

Cristovan Valenciaga – “To see without Seeing” These words quite literally put me on my path now. To close my eyes to the physical and look through the veil that we present and to search deeper. His wise words truly inspired me to create and gave me the passion to teach this way to others.

Wano – A man of few words, but one who know the realm of spirits well. His stoic form and duty to his nation allowed me to understand that there was more than the living world, and pushed me to find a gate to allow my mind to reach Alfheim.

Marisol Altin – A role model of what should be just in this world. A woman of piece and dedication and one I aspire to emulate. The strongest of us all indeed.
