A Volcanic Island Journey

Description: On the way to gather precious materials for weapons and such, Xoltul and the gang decided to take a lengthy trip to a massive volcano to hoard up any useful resources for items to be forged and crafted.  The volcano is enriched with minerals with mana and energies lingering in them. This volcano they are searching for resides in a distant island offshore from Esshar, where the skies are of grayish tints- like storm clouds; dense with volcanic ash, which is how it got its color. When the gang stepped foot the villagers approached them with a warning, to give caution about the enraged elemental that lived deep within the heart of a said volcano that the villagers worshipped entirely. The elemental is enraged and needs a sacrifice. The villagers were vaguely struck with a lengthy wave of famine, perhaps the island's people hadn't come up with a solution. And their so-called 'god' in the form of a lava monster took it as stalling; as a sacrifice was past its due date everyone had a taste of an elemental's cruel wrath. The consequence is a plague that spread throughout the forest where many successful villages flourished. Crops are withering away, dehydrated trees covered in volcanic ash, and important livestock is no longer a sustainable resource. The people that live there are in need of help. Food and plants alike are slowly diminishing every day because of the greedy elemental's demands. Their deity marked the time of their doom. It’s the group’s duty to put an end to this fiery, ashen-covered hellscape of chaos. Once the madness has ended the group can freely take whatever they needed from this specific location.

Tone: Adventurous with a hint of fiery death, hiking, exploration, a bit of tropical.
