As the undead rise across Meranthe, the necromancer Grey heeds his fortune.
For his sins are shown to the world, his trial is the malice he has earned from peer and nation alike, and his solution... is to create.
The dream of Requiem, a promise he made to his long-dead friend, Meri'Li
A promise made by a man who could no longer bear to see so many die so young
To see meranthe painted in blood, and to be powerless to stop it
The dream of Requiem, a promise he made to his long-dead friend, Meri'Li
A promise made by a man who could no longer bear to see so many die so young
To see meranthe painted in blood, and to be powerless to stop it
And so, though they may hate him for it...
He calls you.
He calls you.
His shadows, by his will, trawl throughout the sea, to call the bones of the dead to life once more.
For his love, for his life, for his family...
He calls you to rise, once more
For thou who art undead, art chosen
For a second chance, a second life
Each of you, called by your resonance with Grey, by his sorrows and regrets, coaxed willingly to live again in this profane existence
To make right a life that left you wanting, a life that wasn't enough for you
Or perhaps a life that was horrid
You remember, barely an ounce of it in rushed and blurred visions, but you remember enough to know that
And this time, you will live a life worth living.
You are Undead.
And yet you are no slave.
You would be his family. You would be his knights.
You would be his finest warriors. In the strongest armor he would clad your body, in virtue and tenet guard your soul, and in love temper your strength.
You would be a Knight of Requiem, called forth as a protector of the living, of the people he holds dear. In his idealism, in his desperation, he turns such profane arts against the cruel and wicked. And in this modern era, you find no shortage of such monsters - Be they Atrellyan, Morningstar, Riadach, or even those of the nations, performing atrocity in the name of righteousness.

Every time Meranthe settles, a stone is hurled upon it.
His family will be safe... and you are welcomed among their number.
You are not obliged to swear the oath, to abide our tenets and principles... but why would you spurn the man who gave you life, when he has brought you such glorious purpose? Why spurn your family?
While many undead are monstrous upon the living, callous beings of anguish and rage... You will be different.
For necromancy is the defiance of nature.
Defy yours.
For wind blows, rain falls...
The strong prey upon the weak...
it is true that petals must fall...
But not today.

A new age of Necromancy is on the rise. The undead swarm. Grey has declared open hostility to the other Necromancer factions, including Morningstar, for harming his family. And as for Requiem?
We stand as an answer to the madness and cruelty of the world, and refuge to the lost and the broken. Living, or dead, we wield the tools we were given as best we can, and answer to no judgment nor law from the great nations of Meranthe. We adhere to our principles and beliefs first, and all else second.
For Requiem is an order that was made to bring peace, to bring rest, founded upon principles of Chivalry and heavenly virtue. Your father loves you, if you will call him such, and will do everything he can for you. For he leads from the front where he is able. You'll be given an offer by Grey to swear the code, which will be made binding if you so choose, or you may leave and walk the earth alone, but be warned that you will be offered no special treatment if you do, and you would be leaving your father defenseless against a hostile world... when his death, is yours.
For now, there is room for two of you. But in the future? Grey intends to create nine total undead, at least. He has Three. You don't have to main, but should be pretty active. It's about to get noisy on Meranthe, and your father is at risk, as are those he holds dear.

Other offers: Grant a profile pic for example and I'll make you one. Requiem's have a theme, and they're pretty great. Pieta's goes hard. Your father will create for you weapons and armor as advanced as he can (mythril to start). When we have critical mass, we can start running dens/dungeons, and events.
Time for a crusade.
