Clipping of Wings - War - Simple - 09-20-2021

1870 A.C.
"We will not stop until they are exterminated."

It is as I foretold, my fair and just people of Osrona. The pretenders to the north have decided to beat their wings louder than necessary, pounding their chest with a false sense of superiority. They so high believe themselves mighty, yet what they fail to realize is that they are not more than mere babies in the grand scheme of Esshar.

Children who will die for their cause, for their draconic overlord.

I have consulted with the stars, with the divine above in prayer, and I know without doubt that this is the path we must now embark upon. The days of Osrona turning a blind eye to transgression are long behind us. We must rally together in this time of darkness, and show the world that the might of the Osronan people extends beyond fending off vampires, but instead squashing every threat which dares stand in our way.

They have seen fit to capture our people, to butcher innocents for their 'god,' a mockery of the Fireblooded. We are accepting any and all true dragons within the walls of Osrona, and together we will reclaim your home, and push out the pretenders who have laid claim to it. I seek naught to destroy all dragons, but merely the one which they have decided to worship, as well as the group as a whole.

It is with that said that I, Eisele rei Petrakis, Queen of Osrona and blessed of Malziel, hereby declare war upon the rebel group of the Ebonblooded.

They will be made to kneel, made to grovel for mercy and penance, yet they shall be met with naught but the edge of a blade. The same 'mercy' that was shown to those they so carelessly sacrificed. Put to death, their wings forever on display as a reminder to any group that attempts the same thing.

Their idols shall be torn down, their fortress set ablaze, reduced to nothing more than ash. They will be allowed no quarter, made to suffer tenfold.

Bring me their heads, as justice dictates.

Immediately following the formal declaration of war, the First Light is seen mobilizing its forces and pushing to the west. Creating a war camp at the base of the mountains, as they begin the long march to reclaim the mountain for the true Fireblooded people. Interestingly, however, the Queen is not taking to the field herself, a statement that they aren't truly seen as a threat in the same image as the vampires.

The first battle will be one to free any and all captives of the Ebonblooded.

The Stellus and Champion of Osrona's forces has made their declaration. A formal warning has been given to the Ebonblooded. If the prisoner Myrine is not to be released to the Gardios then their members will be hunted throughout night and day. A woman with no need for sleep, she is prepared to fill her threat.

Claramonde is present among the forces even if the Queen is not, she flies above to make it known. Eyes spilling with the light of the Cosmos, her presence is to be felt.

So when Osronan's attended our rites, when we ended lives that'd been dedicated to serving the forces of Hel and it's creations, were we expected to back down when those of Osrona sought to defend them?

Damn them and their stars, damn their lies, damn their dogmas. Let them keep their lizards. Let them harbor those who'd rather hold a heretics hand than shove a blade through their chest. Let the vampire sympathizers flee and hide behind their walls. Let every so called man and woman who fought for the presence of the Mirelings flee.

Drop any pretenses of justice and honor during this war. They've already proven they're incapable of enacting either. Do not forget Naysien's words, even should you perish over this farce.

The Naysien cultists can be witnessed hoarding supplies and beating each other senseless day in and out in preparation for the war.

Den Father Allium Vartuul stands injured among a group of citizens belonging to the lower frozen mountains that mark the terrain of Garljing Coat.
Lifting his hands as his crimson wings mantle the skies and the Dragons of the Coat encircle the clouds above them.

The Stellus, Claramonde akh Gardios, along with Kasimir Petrakis and members of the Crown's Guard raid the tower of the Ebonblooded after cutting through a majority of their forces. The mountain is overrun by soldiers from the First Light, forces led by present Radiant, Adrian ven Grimmore.

Once the elite force had made their way within the walls of the Ebonblooded's fortress it was all too late. Storming the halls the prisons were to located and left asunder. Those within chains escorted out and through defending soldiers of the First Light to be judged by the hands of the Shimmering City. The Stellus herself locates the reason to start it all, her student and Deacon, Myrine, to take her home herself.

It is an overwhelming victory for Osrona and the first showing of the newly dubbed First Light. Though, this was probably to be expected. The roar of a dragon cascading from even higher into the mountains spell the future for the Ebonblooded.

They were far from finished. They had just started.
