Asphodel - The Eradication/Subjugation of Shadowmire - BLOX - 08-29-2021

Couriers deliver news. The sounds of Asphodel's castle bell toll once, and then twice.
There is something in the air- a certain misery. The news is delivered with no difficulty to the rest of the world.
Sachiko Tsuki, formerly Sachiko Hellsing, is now dead. His crimes include;
  • Being the product of an unlawful siring lacking the approval of the Crimson Court,
  • high treason and the jeopardizing of the Asphodel-Pauper alliance,
  • the instigation of combat with Asphodel citizens and allies without permission or oversight,
  • and insulting Queen Illythia Vranovo, the Crimson Monarch, personally.

For these crimes, he was executed.
On account of his ignorance and attempt to injure Queen Illythia Vranovo, and the inability of Shadowmire to uphold a previously discussed treaty,
Asphodel has decided that they will no longer entertain notions of equality between Shadowmire and Asphodel.
Those who are not of Asphodel are beneath Asphodel.
Those who are not immortal are beneath those who are.

The people of Shadowmire are not only ignorant, but dangerous, irritating, and a significant enough portion are dregs (lit. 'the most worthless or useless parts of something', meaning those who can't give blood). They've proven that they are not capable of maintaining peace. Their allies, the Fireblooded, have ensued aggression against Asphodel as well, and are currently allied with Osrona. All of these things have proven that the denizens of Shadowmire will not be allowed to live another day, as the Vranovo clan of vampires will be personally seeking out and hunting the citizens of Shadowmire until a formal raid is declared. Access to the boat between western and eastern Esshar will be used by force if necessary.




There is no formal comment that accompanies the notice of hostilities from either party, but. . .

. . . are the absolute destruction of Shadowmire and everyone within it.


ASPHODEL has formally declared war on SHADOWMIRE.

  • The goals of this declaration clearly show intent to either destroy or claim Shadowmire, but not in a way that'd show any mercy to those who inhabit it.
  • Mutants born in Asphodel will need to see Viscount Tara Vranovo or a similarly ranked member of the Crimson Court to ensure their citizenship.
  • Mutants who are not registered to either Pauper or Asphodel may be attacked on sight.
  • The tithe of Shadowmire will NOT be respected by any Asphodel citizen.
  • All mutants WILL have their vitae extracted-- by force if necessary-- and jailed to serve as blood-bags or executed.
  • All dregs WILL be killed on capture for the insult of their existence (skeletons, ents, nethradin).
  • Any Shadowmire denizen who brings Aranha and her book before Pauper will be excused, and gain sanctuary in the city of their pleasing.
  • Any Shadowmire denizen who brings forth the vampire who sired Sachiko Tsuki or any information regarding him will have their existence excused. They may be allowed sanctuary depending on how useful the information is, or if they bring the vampire in specific to Asphodel.
  • In both the above exceptions, Dregs will not be allowed sanctuary, but they will be added to a no-assault list of mutants that includes informants for Asphodel.
  • A formal battle will be announced soon. Date pending.
