Within the depths of the Shadowmire, servants spread word of figures bearing the insignia of the Abyssal Shield patrolling the lands. A bulwark against invaders, a line of defence against those unwelcome and unwanted within the corrupted forests and swamps where the monsters dwell.
With it, they carry a message to all who would listen.
"My kin,
For too long have we been left defenceless against those who would bring us to ruin,
against those who spit in the face of our Mother,
against those who would pry our kin from us,
and against those who would see our home destroyed.
No more.
Those of you who would heed my call and join us in our defence, seek out the Order of the Abyssal Shield."
