The Asimovs' Helspawn - Seraphite - 04-08-2021 ![]() Hina Asimov
Fire (Glorious Inferno)/Plasma/Illusion (Energy Opener; T1 Alchemist)
Quote: A woman who used to float above the ground, your mother is a flickering flame of her former self. Once warm and extremely kind to all, she's now become more manic than before, illusory magic tangling itself around her in quite a lovely weave. She seems to have contacts from Osrona to Achyon, the Shadowmire and even the Dreadwoods themselves. With each person that turned their ire towards your father, she slowly began to break down, the boiling point coming when he was captured in front of her and dragged away to his demise. Now, she puts on an obvious façade of normalcy - all for the purpose of making sure you're okay, even as she sobs in private.
You're the light of this woman's life, despite all of the pain that she seems to have gone through - especially now that your father is dead. Always willing to carry or help ease your pain with the alchemical of the day (or attempting to use her crude medical knowledge to patch you back up), to talk to you during those rare moments where you didn't sleep so much, or to simply exist within your vicinity, her top priority has been making sure that you're well. If you ask to meet somebody she's in contact with, she'll do her best to arrange it. With that said, she knows that she may have never gotten to know what the real you is, and may never do so. She doesn't care, though. She loves you more than she loves herself, even if you reject her.
![]() Dimitri Asimov Sound (Symphony)/Wind/Energy (T1 Artificer; Dark Guardian, Hel's Dancer)
Quote: A man who once floated above the ground, constantly elevated by his own inflated ego. With each one who focused their ire upon him, focusing on his beautiful symphonies, the wider he smiled. Your father was a patriot, his compassion in this day and age nurtured by your mother. Despite his lack of a soul, he cared for all those who had sworn loyalty to the Empire; were they hurt, he would attempt to return the ire tenfold.
Your father was executed by Rhesus DeLaurentis before you were old enough to navigate the world, but he still played quite a large role in your life. He attempted to instill Barsburgian values into you in order to increase your chances of living successfully in Achyon, along with offering to help with any magical talents and other pursuits you wished to learn of (at least, once the things making you resemble his wife grew in on you). Artifice and violin in particular were a focus if you were interested.
His violin, Song of Hecate, has been promised to you when you're powerful enough to wield it. You also own a vial of his ashes, given to you by your mother.
Speaking of Hecate...
![]() Hecate Elaide
Quote: As a prominent figure in Helheim since the beginnings of the Elaide bloodline, this violet haired sorceress recently became one of the Five Marquis. She rules over many floating, fractured planets and sits in the epic centre of it all within her fortress of ruins. Fragments of the destroyed land of Astya make up her domain.
She took your father under her wing. A merciful goddess despite his many failures, Hecate was even so kind to bless the barren Asimov with children in a pulse of unnatural fertility! That's where you come in.
