Madwoman | Huntress | Task Matriarch | ???
Quote:The Task name is a known one, though seldom associated with anything good. Often it goes hand-in-hand with all manner of ill-repute; deception, madness, brutality. Once a calm, calculated, and composed young woman, the Hyene beast kin might have been the exception. In adult-hood, she unwittingly followed the rule.

It’s known by record that Artemis Task (along with several co-conspirators, of course) is responsible for a large scale attack on Theria, incorporating the use of a portal to Helheim to shake the foundations of the once Overlord’s rule, to spur the stagnant city to action. It is also known that in its wake she prowled the foot of the mountain, picking off would be hunters after the escapade. Particularly those that whispered threats to her family.

What is less known, but is perhaps only rumor from wagging tongues, are the tales of her particular brand of madness. Maybe it began when the rift was punched through in Theria’s very own throne room with the prized Sanguine Mitt; maybe it was when the Pandemonium Chase came and went, awakening something ancestral in her bones; or, most likely, it was there all along, lying in wait. Regardless, the once composed young woman became something wild and savage in the ensuing years.

Speculation aside, there are certain facts which are difficult to dispute. The Task family name is no longer synonymous with Therian nobility, now instead associated with brigands and rare souls that heed the call of ambition and instinct. Their ties to the Docro family, before and after the siege of Osrona, are fairly well known.

The Hyene Matriarch of the Task family is not difficult to find, but something about her makes the skin of the unprepared prickle. She is not opposed to conversation. On the contrary, for those that show rare ambition and fire Artemis is eager to offer an all-too-wide smile and words of wisdom. This next generation must be instructed, after all. Especially if they’re Family.
