Quote:“You know, I’ve been thinking about it a bunch lately… the fact that they say some folks aren't one bit cut out for the stage before they’ve even stepped foot on it. Sure we've all got our dreams and ambitions and stuff, but apparently some people can't do it! It's totally the exact same in nature, isn't it? No matter who you ask, they almost always say the rabbit's going to be the prey out of any two animals. And I mean who can blame them? You've got wolves and all sorts of super scary animals out there waiting to tear them to ribbons! I'm shivering just writing this!
But that’s what makes it fun, isn’t it?
Even if the odds are stacked crazy high, life would be awfully boring if people really knew what was going to happen before it happened! A farmer works night and day tending to their crops while not knowing if any of them are going to make it through a harsh, unforgiving winter, a hunter sets a mountain load of traps when food is scarce around their home while not knowing whether or not they’ll actually catch anything, and some weirdo entertainer puts on the greatest shows they can while not knowing just how amazing or poorly they’re going to turn out. Will they screw up? Will they be forgotten the very next morning? Who knows! No matter the scenario, it's all about having the guts to survive!
That’s why I’m going to be a terrifying predator and the best entertainer— a legend to be remembered in history till the end of time!
That’s why I’m Shining Sparkle, not ////////!
The me of tomorrow will shine and sparkle even more than the me of today!
So watch out Esshar… here I come!”
Quote:"If the world were a single color, what color would it be? Would it be super green like the bountiful forests of Moxtli or as blue as the limitless sky above? Would it be tan like the sandy beaches, crumbly and brown like the distant mountains?
I never realized just how beautiful the world is until my own had fallen apart.
I never realized that metal restraints are as heavy mentally as they are physically. To be bound, tortured, and shoved away into a cage far from the sun's warmth isn’t a fate that any proud beastkin deserves. The only people who visit are the people who laugh at you while you’re suffering and want to take even more from you. Ironically, they don’t realize that they’re the real animals. The ones who should be caged forever and ever. The ones who can’t speak without telling terrible, dirty lies.
I always knew that humans could be cruel, but I never knew just how much crueler someone who’s abandoned their humanity can be.
The humans imitate machines. The machines imitate humans. Achyon is a strange, illogical place full of hypocritical, dull people. Their world, in its many whites and grays, deserves to be stained red. I couldn’t count to ten on my fingers anymore, but seven is enough to guess how many years remain before those three will be gone for good anyway.
Seven’s a lucky number, isn’t it?
There’s seven days in a week, seven colors in a rainbow, and up to seven years left for them. I’m glad I could still count to seven.
I don’t want my world to become pitch black. I won’t let them steal all my color from me. The show’s not over yet.
Encore, encore.
But… why does it have to be so lonely and painful sometimes?
When it gets hard to smile, I’ll remember how happy I am to be with everyone. I’ll never forget it.
It’s a promise."
