CupcakeMomo DM - CupcakeMomo - 08-27-2020 ![]() Event Preferences: Mostly fine with doing any type of events, but currently doing public/world events.
Anything Else: Normally- I won't accept DM requests for events until I get a little more comfortable with running events in general! That is to say, maybe sometimes I'll try to contact a player if I am interested in running their event or making a spontaneous event if I see something from their roleplay/story that would be interested to make into an event-line.
anything else - i will update on my dm review thread(such as being comfortable enough to accept requests!)
Quote:Key/Character: RE: CupcakeMomo DM - SilkiyTea - 08-29-2020 Key/Character: SilkieTea Which Event: four corners (public event) Responsiveness: 8/10. again this is a public event which was massive and ran by one person. it cannot be quick-paced. Balance: N/A, as a public event there is no possible way to balance around the needs of everyone there. i cannot in good favor put a score on this. Storytelling: 10/10, i have no complaints here. it was very enjoyable from a story-tellers perspective. Fairness: hello, this is where i will be upset. Quote:the first boss Quote:the second boss Quote:the third boss Quote:injuries 3/10 Overall: 21/30 (Responsiveness: 8 + Storytelling: 10 + Fairness: 3 = 21/30) 21/30 in grade format, is a C or 70%. Any other comments: although my jadedness feels entirely justified, and people i talked to seemed to show some sign of agreement in discord dms (no names will be displayed that is rude), it made me realize that i am taking this game way too seriously. the first boss rolls were the things that made upset, i rolled two 6's, and i got 2 nyeshk. people rolled in my same tier got a secondary number less than mine, and got unique little items. the injury rolls was not as agitating. i would have preferred to have never rolled and gotten nothing except the enjoyment of the events storytelling and fights. than to feel like i was apart of a raid on an mmo where i rolled higher than someone, but the raid leader gave the nice items to someone else. RE: CupcakeMomo DM - QuackQuackAttack - 08-29-2020 Key/Character: Maize Which Event: Four Corners (Theria) Responsiveness (Were their narrations posted within a reasonable time-frame and were they quick to respond?): It was decent enough, 9/10 Balance (How entertaining were the battles, and any obstacles/traps?): Again, decent, 9/10 Storytelling (Did it feel like an adventure, did the content of the narrations meet your expectations?): Loved it, wish I came on a different character, but loved it anyway 10/10 Fairness (Were the punishments justified and earned, was the risk to reward ratio good?) I felt like... some people got more some people got less. 5/10 Overall: 8/10 Any other comments: I love it, but I believe a lot of people want something like consistent rewards for what happens in events. Additionally, perhaps reducing the number of stages may make the event easier to take on. Otherwise? <3 ya RE: CupcakeMomo DM - Friendliest - 01-26-2022 EVENT: Mark of the Black hook kin pt 1 Whenever we go on events usually most DMS will come up with a pretty nice story, do the do the best they can to use the tools that they have for immersion, and try to provide a decent enough difficulties so that way it is not boring. As long as we get what we want usually we will give that DM a pretty good rating and arbitrary 10 out of 10 to be nice for the time that they spent making our event. For the event that was ran for me by Amorian... I cannot say this was done. Amorian went above and beyond the expectations of everyone in the group and I can safely say, without a shadow of a doubt, that this was the best event that I have ever seen ever. The storytelling and writing was at a professional level, each and every person on the event was given an opportunity to shine and feel like they were the star player in that moment. Every reward was tailored for each participant but the storyline behind the reward was not arbitrary. Amorian crafted a story so excellent that each reward felt like a realistic part of the story that they were telling. The event was so comprehensive that it took three days to complete, that was mainly because of the scheduling issues and time zones among the participants. Regardless of that fact, Amorian stayed patient and made the event fun for everyone. They even included side quests that were optional parts of the event for rewards that we did not even request and still made it a cohesive part of the story. I can sum up my experience in a single word: Sublime RE: CupcakeMomo DM - blank - 01-26-2022 Key/Character:Etheri Virtuoso Which Event: Mark of the Black Hook Kin - part 1. Responsiveness (Were their narrations posted within a reasonable time-frame and were they quick to respond?): Extremely decent with a wealth of content with each post, posts that didn't break the fluidity of interactions within the scenarios. [10/10] Balance (How entertaining were the battles, and any obstacles/traps?): The battles were not just about creating winners and losers, but enriching the plot and history of the event, the moment we had Pendala present was extremely cool and the biggest challenge was staying alive until the end. [1000000/10] Storytelling (Did it feel like an adventure, did the content of the narrations meet your expectations?): I think that was the key point of the whole event, the way it developed and the care taken for each moment and scenario. Some scenarios were faster, but the critics were essentially enriched with extremely striking ECs. So all scenarios were great, I think the difference from one to the other was elemental. [10/10] Fairness (Were the punishments justified and earned, was the risk to reward ratio good?): I don't have much to complain about! I think the rewards and attention were equally divided and delivered. There's not much to add here, the rewards were delivered according to risk. (I would dare to say it was too generous.)[10/10] Overall: OK! The feeling of this event was great, I felt part of me returning to a child's game I haven't played in a long time, a literal tabletop RPG between friends. I can only say that, if the goal was to make this look like an RPG in which 'good rolls' are extremely rewarding and still surprising, the result was delivered much more than expected. You made it perfect, thanks for the moment we had together. so let it be a 10000000000/10. |
