Bit controversial since I suppose it'd mean less wild encounters, but make more ferries and NPCs that can bring you closer to certain places. It doesn't have to be everywhere, but a bit of ease of access in travel could help increase traction elsewhere as well as save people the headache of having to walk back and forth between places at times.
