Guidelines (OOC) - Chance - 04-11-2020
These are some rules to follow when posting an in-character thread.
- 'Public' announcements must be kept to the kingdom your character lives in. Generally, if attempting to send a message to other characters (or entire factions) that aren't based in your own, you should do so in-game, by having someone deliver a message in roleplay or making it yourself. There are many people who roleplay couriers and messengers specifically for this purpose.
- The exception to the above is the State of Meranthe thread. These are announcements from the respective kingdoms themselves, and approved directly by the authority in the domain.
- Announcing events is absolutely fine, such as a tournament or a festival. Better yet, contact an admin so we can potentially work with you to publicize it. This usually means a linking it in #ic-announcements in the Discord and an in-game announcement shortly before it begins.
- If a public scene happens in-game, you can make a post about the aftermath & anything that might be known. This might be a battle where multiple are wounded, or the death of a character.
- Do not make a post if it has no way of being public (such as internal monologue). You also don't want to roleplay over the forums back and forth, keep it in-game.
