Holy War
------------------------==========-----------------------
Myllenoris v. Ilburg
In the year 1730 AC, High Lady Asta Hargrave of Myllenoris warned of the stirring of remnants of the Elysium Coven. In response, the entire Kingdom has been on high alert. Weapons forged en-mass and stockpiled. Tens of thousands of full suits of steel, adamantite, even mythril armor forged for war with a faceless enemy. The Greycloaks, training tirelessly day and night for battle. Teraphim from all over Myllenoran domain called forth to join the fight on a scale that has never been seen; not even during the defense of the homeland when Barsburg invaded Esshar.

For a year, the Teraphim waited. Readied. They've searched for their faceless foe, and found nothing. Many among the Valeborn grew restless and weary. A year of preparation, for what? For who?

In the year 1731 AC, the High Lady declared Holy War upon Ilburg for allegedly harboring witches and occultists. Many speculate that she and her cohort simply got tired of waiting for their enemy to rear its face. The rumors are there are no witches in Ilburg. Myllenoris just needs some victim to unleash their new great war machine upon, and an enemy to test the might of their Teraphim.

It is the year 1732 AC. Dozens of Teraphim Greycloaks backed by a hundred human soldiers from Myllenoris are coming. A fraction of their combined armies, yet a mighty raiding party all the same. Their arrival is heralded by spectral wraiths of war that circle Ilburg's outskirts. Shapeless beings shrouded by shadow that seem to slip in and out of existence.

This small battalion intends to march on Ilburg and forcefully tear their way across the settlement in search for their enemy. Will Ilburg let them through their defenses without a fight?

What will happen if, or when, they do force their way in?
Just how much damage can this raiding party inflict?

For Myllenorans signing on: The High Lady has made it known that this is not a compulsory draft. This is an outfit of only the most devoted Valeborn to Aschea's Faith. Only the most fearless and loyal need bother show.

RE: Holy War (Myllenoris v. Ilburg) - 1732 AC (Saturday, 6PM EST) - Chance - 04-12-2020

The small army mustered by Myllenoris has suffered heavy losses at the hands of the warriors of Ilburg. In the aftermath of the battle, many dozens lay injured on sands stained in blood. Dying. A handful of Teraphim among them.

In the chaos, the High Lady of Myllenoris calls out to her people to retreat back to the woods.

The Stellus and his people are routed back in the direction of Osrona.

All sides involved have suffered losses. Many casualties; but Myllenoris seems to have been hurt the most. In their retreat, they lose more to magi from Ilburg blindly firing into their ranks. No key leaders have fallen in battle. Ilburg still has all of its core magi, alive.

As a result of their victory here today, the fame of Ilburg, the desert kingdom, rises. The small encampment enjoys an influx of curious visitors and potential investors in the war, looking towards the new home of the Rhoynish with anticipation. (+10,000 coin & a minor map expansion; defensive fortifications, two new homes)
