The forces of Goldlight, with auxiliaries from the Realm and Gloomlight, had not been seen for the months after the turn of the year. Upon their return, rumors immediately circulated as to what exactly had been done and found. Some knew, others did not.
Yet in time, a few weeks later, announcements went out, news that shocked many in the order. A response from the public that was mixed, to say the least.
The Captain-General, who had not been seen outside of his armor ever since their return, was turning 100 years old... and retiring from office. A party will be held at the end of the year. Friends and associates of Grey Aundeoth are invited, as are friends and members of the republic as a whole, though it is open to any who wish to visit (save for those charitably described as enemies of humanity, of course.)
It is rumored that Archbishop Garret Richter insisted on such celebrations.
A pre-emptive statement was put out by the Captain-General, regarding the circumstances of his retirement.
