How many such instances exist in the world? What are the chances of this malady spreading into Meranthe during a resurgence of synthetic and technological pursuits within many nations following the downfall of the Proto-Institute and the disappearance of Acantho?

Years passed, and concerns only grew in the Chronicler's mind. Another expedition was prepared, with letters sent out requesting the aid of holy magi of various disciplines to join a short crusade. Drones from the Twilight Archives of the Republic would be dispatched to investigate fallen or defunct technological institutions of: Final Frontier, Barsburg, Magnolia, or any other parties of similar affinity. All in pursuit of archaeology and the cleansing of any machine or artificial lifeform corrupted by the occult, void, etcetera.
