The Astyan Stronghold - 13th Scout Force - Tee - 03-13-2020 Character: Sentinel (Tee #4825) Attendees: No idea? Sajid I think so far. Not many people, max of 2-3 extras probably. This is the last event in a series of them. Tone: Fallout, Warhammer, Lord of the Rings, and Eternia Lore Mashup. I think that describes what I'm looking for? Risk: Hurt me. I am unafraid of death. Rewards: A field manual (see synopsis), trinkets for anyone else who comes. DM: Looking! Discord me if interested or just post here. I don't care who does it honestly. Synopsis: This is where it all started and will signal the denoument; my entire character's arc and hopefully something that will live on after the character is gone. Sentinel has been stuck in the replica Astyan Heavy Battle Armor since she was 15, so roughly half her life to this point. It's still locked into place. But there's one last hope for her, and maybe to help out with the effort against demonkind. According to Elmar Fenossi's journals, the original plate was found undisturbed in a deep cave, far in the southlands and away from prying eyes. It took her four years, but Sentinel's managed to trace her father's footsteps back to the cave; according to her sources, it's far more than that, however. Not just a cave, but an early expeditionary stronghold by the first Astyan explorers, the 13th Scout Force; a tattered, but surviving wing of the Astyan army who arrived on the peninsula over the mountains before the main wave of refugees.  The 13th used the fortified cave as a base of operations to explore and scout the southlands of Esshar, being active for some years and still in contact with other expeditionary teams until abruptly vanishing from history without trace. Rumor by the superstitious locals vary from 'ancient blood sacrifices!' to 'bloodthirsty golems!' to 'cranky spirits!' and all manner of stories in between. Sentinel of course doesn't believe in any of that nonsense. She's assembling however many people she can strongarm into going, and looking for the one thing every Battle Armor came supplied with -- the field manual. With that, the last secrets of the Armor are hers to unlock -- not just removing the armor itself, but the lost secrets of the armor's fabrication. If the remnants of the 13th Scout Force are still in that cave, she will find whatever's there and eliminate any obstacle in her way. .. And hopefully not get killed by whatever's inside the stronghold.
