Visionaries of Granduer
[Image: 3a053eec3459f6b00642617655668e65.jpg]

You are a member of the Shigenobu Clan.
You are:
Of any age
A Faeborne, or Human
Shengese, or atleast raised with Shengese customs
From Xuefeng originally.
Likely related to the heiress, a cousin or distant relative. But it is possible you're not. Feel free to create your own family/lore.

You will be provided:
Lodging within Nilhirra, though this is only temporary and you will eventually move to Korcula, lodging will be provided there as well.
A government job within Korcula when it is reclaimed, as your heiress will hold the governorship. (Nepotism)

You can:
Follow Uladir, Namea, The Fourfold path, or any other belief system your character desires to explore since leaving the grasp of the Nakashima
Be a part of Shigenobu centered events, which will be chronicled on the guild page.
Engage in the governance of Korcula whenever that becomes possible, or don't.
Be granted heirlooms acquired during events.
Develop your own plotlines for the clan, and have avid event goers to see it through with you.
Engage in situations that change the course of the clan or is written down within it's history.

Background lore:
Your family is isolationist and very zealous. You likely weren't allowed to truly express or explore yourself due to the Nakashima's dominance over clan affairs. Regardless, due to the Heiress connection to Fortuna, you are aware of the Emerandi household, as well as the general situation within Fortuna. (You likely researched it if you took up her offer, but you can also be ignorant if you want to be.)

You can have any opinion you'd like on the heiress, the most you know so far is that she's a bastard, which is usually deemed sufficient reason to be Moriyama. Yet, she retains her claim to succession. This may likely be upsetting for you, or a plotline for you to explore. (Perhaps Usurp her?  Blush )

Life outside of the household's oppressive nature is a cake walk, though the sandy beaches and island life of Fortuna may come as a bit of a culture shock. You're use to a cold, unfeeling tundra.

I'm honestly not sure if anyone would be interested in this since I can't really offer much in the equipment department and so on for now.

https://chronicles-of-eternia.com/forum/thread-18727.html

You can also combine these two emporiums, though only one slot (for this combined emporium) is available.

The distinction is that at spawn you are not loyal to the heiress, you are loyal to the Kingdom of Fortune.

Hit me up, (I'll be a bit more selective for the combined slot due to what's being offered, so beware)

RE: Visionaries of Granduer - Benyah - 08-31-2024

Shigenobu count has risen to 7!

I'll be making an updated emporium sometime soon.

Visionaries of Grandeur: The Shigenobu Infantry Company!

You:

Are a Shigenobu! Originally hailing from Xuefeng, before moving to the Kingdom of Fortune for around six years. You can decide how much influence the Kingdom of Fortune ultimately had upon you, some clan members have inherited customs, and traits usually displayed by sailors and Marines. Be that, cursing like a pirate when upset, to using the term "sail" instead of "marching" when talking in a military context.

Are an Infantryman, you are (currently) being trained in the field of combat, however if you decide it is not for you, you can pursue a diplomatic role in the future. You are kept in reserve, or not expected to fight at all in the current demon invasion.

You are: Faeborne or Human

Are loyal to, and honor bound to, the Republic of Paritas, with a focus on Gloomlight.

Are between ages: 13-23

Are a worshiper of [REDACTED]
Roleplay Dynamics:
The Shigenobu Clan operates under a veil of secrecy at all times, the clan does not share its affairs publicly.

The Shigenobu clan has allies across the continent of Meranthe which it intends to maintain its loyalty to, there will never be a dull moment if you're searching for something to do.

Contrary to popular belief, the clan is loyal to each other, subservience to the Heiress is not at all a requisite, however dedication to the clan is.

You are loosely related to the Heiress of the clan, likely a distant cousin. Or, you were adopted.
You were trained by, and observed a clan which often disagrees with eachother on a fundamental level. Some members opting for secrecy, others living a much more forthcoming and honest existence, which route you take ultimately depends upon you. Some members relish in combat, whilst others are pacifists. Nonetheless, all are expected to fight when called upon, but even then a Shigenobu values the pen just as much as the sword.
You were not originally an Infantryman, you probably lived a very comfortable life in Fortune for about three of those six years. Then it got difficult.

Magdaline Shigenobu
Magdaline is the adopted child of the clan heiress. Although the history behind such adoption is often not talked about by her and she herself is sensitive about the topic, most would describe Magdaline as extremely emotional, to a fault - passionate and energetic nature might swiftly change to unrestrained anger and spite. Her mood is bipolar, and bursts of happiness are often followed by bouts of sadness, and vice versa.

Despite her eccentric nature, she goes on great lengths to assist the clan in any way she can. She is extremely protective, and no doubt would go against insurmountable odds to help you out of a difficult situation.

                                                                                                               Shirin Shigenobu

Shirin, Hatamoto of the Shigenobu clan can be best described as serene. With foggy eyes and a nearly eternal smile upon her face, she is known as one of the most collected and level-headed of the high ranking members of the clan. Reliable and polite (if a little spacey at times)- one can always count on Shirin being there to support others in whatever way she can.

Such is not always the case, however, and rumors of repeated instances of violence towards other members of the family have been circling for quite some time now... Acts disturbing enough to have caused several members of the infantry company to actively avoid her or abandon the Shigenobus entirely - including her own brother, Alreth.

But do such fleeting rumors truly have validity when so many both in and outside the clan consider her with such high regard..?

Toki Shigenobu
Toki is an adopted family member of the clan heiress. His mood is dynamically emotional, going from despair one day to elation another. His love for poetry and his love for his family are the only constants. He is a man of his word, and was doting to everyone in the clan, extremely generous to the point of turning over his coin purse to make sure needs are met.

He is a member of the Infantry Company

Akaza Shigenobu
Akaza is a friendly but shy figure being liked by people and constantly buying their friendship with gifts, a diplomat is known for not giving up until he befriends a friend.

Akaza is known to like diplomacy and history often studying new cultures and people while visiting the different settlements of Meranthe, some would describe him as the most approachable of the Shigenobu. His cold deep blue eyes are described by some as soulless and by others as comfortable.

He is liked by most of the Infantry Company either because he bought their support with gifts or because he is one of the least emotional Shigenobu, a humble diplomat by his own words

Shiri Shi Shigenobu
Magesight/Fire/Bone/Blood
Poised to eventually inherit the Shigenobu clan, the Heiress of the Shigenobu is a deeply flawed person with many critics and detractors. However, her personality can only be described as "decisive". She is either a trusted ally, or a true enemy. She has spent her life across various diplomatic and military roles, starting within Prospera as a Researcher of Strategic Warfare, before eventually becoming the Kingdom of Fortune's ambassador before the clan's departure.
Under her leadership, the clan has seen a rapid rise in its strength, and connections throughout the continent. Be that, due to her business dealings with various figures, or the decision to utilize her clan as a military force to defend themselves, and their allies.
By default, the Heiress will do everything in her power to support you, and see you succeed. If you play your cards correctly, you will have an ally that will never abandon you.

Tenchi Shigenobu

Tenchi Shigenobu serves as the Commander of the Shigenobu Infantry Company, he is hailed as the prodigy, and champion of the Clan. Tenchi is born into the Shigenobu clan, and is of the Moriyama faction.
He doesn't speak of the reason why. Often you will find Tenchi lingering in the background and staying out of the way. He is very quiet and reserved until he notices someone of his clan or that he cares about being bothered or hurt. He has been called a prodigy of the clan, but he does give off an air of humility. When he isn't being anti-social, he can appear to be very caring and protective.

Slots: 5

Unfortunately, you will have to work for everything you achieve in game. The clan currently cannot gather influence, as it isn't mechanically possible for what we do, so there will be no soldier spawns. (Atleast not anytime time soon?)

The clan is very meritocratic, so you will not be given anything by simply existing, everything you acquire, from the respect of others to the treasury of the clan will be earned.

PVP amongst members is very competitive, but don't let that discourage you if you are a new player, in fact, if you are a new player it is strongly encouraged you apply for this, as the clan has been built entirely on the efforts of new, or older players trying to get back into the game.

There are other members of the clan not mentioned in this emporium, it's up to you to meet them and roleplay with them!
