Origins

The Jur'a Hura'as [roughly translated to 'Daring Guard' in ancient Nadjian; or the Jur'a for short] are trained warriors selected every three years within Nadje, a village situated towards the northwestern portions of the Expanse. They bolster strength where the meager cannot and are sworn to vanquish evil. Their admission into the roles possesses heavy, sacred connotations relating to cherished animals within the desert, traditionally, although this is not strictly the case, anymore.

Given the shifting sands within the timeline, those seeking refuge from recent, calamitous events and desiring to complete religious pilgrimage have found asylum in dedicating themselves to battle. Only a few born of Nadjian stock have volunteered to journey closer towards mainland Meranthe in response to both invitation and divine compulsion rooted at the Sainted Enclave. A great migration of brave, virtuous souls gathers at the budding settlement soon to sprout.

Who You Are ...

Will start at 170 RPL! Must be age 16 or above.
Can use any magic [witchery, occultism, and its variations obviously not permitted] or fighting style.
Can be most races [demons, Cambions, undead, etc. etc. clearly not permitted].

One of two conventional Jur'a born, bred, and conscripted in Nadje. Physical traits are less flexible as people from that region typically bolster darker skin tones, though eye and hair colors vary wildly. Names are Egyptian/ Arabic based and you are incredibly pious.

Upon ascending the ranks, you were gifted with your title [only one] which can be solely symbolic [through jewelry, tattoos, etc] or even literal appearances [unique beastkin based on monikers; must be applied for on your own]. They are:

► The Bull: Courageous, admirable strength, fighting spirit, power, and virility behind leaders; typically donning white markings.

► The Falcon: Quintessence, healing, divine protector of people, war-readiness, and swiftness on the air.

► The Jackal: Safeguarder against a cemetery's desecration, judgment against those who defile the deceased, and matters of the heart.

► The Ram: Rebirth, resurrections, crop fertility, and syncretism [the amalgamation of different schools or thought].

One of three people who either found themselves adrift in the Expanse following Ragnarok or hoping to complete their religious excursion under the Pylaean faith. Looks can vastly range considering the circumstances as well as names. You are a blank slate who holds some amount of belief in the Constant-- you simply want to contribute to the fight against evil.

No matter the background, joining the holy crusade is your priority.

What to expect ...

► An active [enough] leader.

► Combat once you're ready to jump into the fray-- joining raids on behalf of the Enclave, hunting parties around Meranthe, events, and protecting your new home. You are the Enclave's fighting force.

► Option to dev into holy magic and becoming an Initiate of the faith.

► Amenities like free food, potions, equipment, and a house [if you survive long enough].

► Desert-flavored Paladin antics.
