No, Blair knew very well the work they had put in themselves in order to truly master their chosen weapon, the sword. But did she?

"I was a constant loser, believe it or not. My strength wasn't naturally gifted, I honed it over the years. I worked for it - hard. Every single day, swinging my sword while the Docro called me a dog."

Their eyes grow sharp and narrow.

"But I did things they could never dream of, and more. If you think your strength is gifted to you, then you're doing things wrong."

With a taste of what its like to destroy a Nethradin, Celaena is in search for another crumb of that exquisite, delectable high. Like her grandfather she wants to work for her strength. To work her way from the bottom of the food chain all the way to the top. So she begins her search for leads to a land where she can destroy shit, specifically the Nethradin who plague Esshar.

With knowledge comes power. What better of a place to search for leads than within the elders of her own Clan? A conversation that ultimately results in the rough sketch of a map, toward what is rumored to be the location of what once used to be a popular location for cults to perform rituals. The journey will take time, but this freshly recognized adult Rhoynish wants to earn her way to the top. To train herself against the beings she was born to fight, to feel that battle high once more.

There was nothing quite like killing a Nethradin.
