As someone who is driven to anxiety by the idea of creating a journal and prefers to operate in the moment (I don't even like collecting logs, it feels like a chore rather than something engaging and fun), I really like the idea of it being something automated. If everyone gets a max of 6, and you're coming up with ways to generate more, maybe make it a reward for DMs too? If you put in the effort to run a long term primordial event chain or the like, I think getting an HT reward isn't necessarily bad, you already get RPP rewards.
Just a thought as a local DM goblin.

Odd thought. Revive the Teach verb from early spires, with some changes, for the big lore heavy things.
Make Mastery of something like Necromancy or white magic an appable position, with the magic's having a slowly unlocking spell tree that takes points only spendable in that tree. A master, who would have to be vetted beforehand, can award those points as their apprentices come along... But even if they become proficient in it's use it's such a powerful, complex ability that even they only understand it's use. Not how to teach another.
To gain the ability to teach, you have to go through the app.
Admittedly, forcing people down a bottleneck for certain powers might be a bad idea. But I love the concept of having people seek out someone for training.

I was thinking, so you need to be age 16 but more preferred age 18 and 200 RPL for a hidden. So, my thought is why not have it so you automatically get another hidden token at 210 RPL? Then 220, so on so forth. Perhaps making age another requirement like being 18+. Perhaps 23+ for the next and 5+ more years for the next, etc.
But also at 2 and 3 hidden tokens so, RPL 220 and 230 you have access to only Master Hidden spells and stances. At 240 aka 4 hidden tokens you now get exalted tier and mythical if you are a 'world shaker' or some sort of idk main antagonist protagonist type? Otherwise Mythical at 250 RPL aka 5 hidden tokens.

Also perhaps make it so that Mythical costs 3 hidden tokens, so even if you make it at 240 RPL, u have to give up something unless you have them saved up.

You are severely underestimating how long it takes to get checks after 200, let alone 210 or 220. Ragnhild is like what 85? She's RPL 225.

I personally worry about the HTs being tied to events/dm rewards as someone who's played for a half a year and only managed to score 2 events across 5 characters.
To me finding a dm, applying, organizing a time, etc is stressful and often has no dm been found to the events I've proposed... Or it has then been dropped about 2 weeks later.
Same worry comes with world events due to the European timezone being severely neglected with most wars/events happening at 6pm est.. Which is 12 am central European time. Most Europeans who aren't all nihters have to opt out very often due to work or simply not being able to stay up that late.
And as much as I hate Journaling, scrapping it completely is not a great idea, especially for no combat players.
I currently like the summary way of Journaling.
Everything else about making the info available and more clear/ standardizes /hidden tokens in general ; good idea

Seeing how most people already use the 180 and 200 RPL marks to apply for their 1st and 2nd hiddens, why not automate the tokens at those marks (maybe 205/210 for second) and keep journal reviews for 3rd hiddens or up as well as any mythics?
It keeps RP relevant as well as leaving fights as an option because both progress RPL.
Automation is good but I don't think putting the largest emphasis on purely fighting for progress is healthy for RP and may devolve the game into PvP and the idea of keeping a journal is nice to some people because it captures what their character is about and all they've been through as well as it being another outlet for story writing.
It also leaves the journalmins with less work when only 3+ hiddens and mythics require their attention then, so hopefully quicker responses.
Alternatively;
1st hidden - RPL 180
2nd hidden - RPL 200+ and X dangers/deadlies
3rd hidden/mythics - journal review
