"Our need for Conquest has only grown since the invasion of the Atrellyan forces, they have taken from us many prizes and yet one jewel still glitters on the horizon. Know that when the time comes, those of the desert will soon bow their heads to a new King."
-Cepheus, Vindicator of Conquest
---
"We forever strive forwards in His name. Every thing we do, we do for Him. We do for the betterment of mankind. Fret not, misguided children, for Azrael's light shall bring forth a new era without pain or death. Join us, and know true peace."
-Dagan, Vindicator of Knowledge
---
"..."
-Solemn, Vindicator of Solitude
(She refused to comment)
☩ Following the release of their two millennia long imprisonment, the Oscuri have found themselves a home carved out within Meranthe: Sanctum, a refuge from the plights of the world at large, a place of worship, and a home for those faithful to the Morninglord, Azrael.
---
☩ To each Vindicator, a Redeemer. To each Redeemer, a Rampart. For those of Solitude, Lethe is named Redeemer, with Irinia as Rampart. For those of Conquest, Kalvorn is named Rampart, with a Redeemer still pending. For those of Knowledge, Dazanyr is named Redeemer, with a Rampart still pending.
---
☩ Expansion efforts have kicked up once more, with the Vindicators putting out a missive for the gathering of coin and material alike to claim a greater territory surrounding Sanctum. With more land comes bigger walls, and enemies are far more abundant than allies.
---
☩ With the Oscuri come a deeply rooted faith in Azrael, with priests and priestesses all too willing to share His word and will in the form of sermons, Lethe often heading these ceremonies. Though for the faithful or lost, one on one sessions with those of Solitude are advised should faith be your calling.
---
☩ Under Dagan's watchful eye and steady hand has the practice of undeath flourished once more. Projects and knowledge having been accumulated as days of yore seek to no longer become myth and legend but instead- reality.
---
☩ Where conflict is found, Cepheus is at the forefront. Encouraging warriors to battle, zealots into fury, and challenges to others without end. Those seeking to venerate the Morninglord through combat and duels would do well in seeking his approval.
---
☩ Roaming the wilds to spread His word is often a task that Solemn can be sighted handling. Of the Oscuri, she is considered amongst the most well mannered and approachable, though that is not to be mistaken as a weakness.
---
☩ Oscuri that find themselves having strayed from the Legion would do well in keeping a watchful eye, lest they be stricken down without hesitation from what was once their brother-in-arms.

Year 2152AC
News & Briefs ☀ 5 Years after the last state, Arcadia has continued to thrive and build new homes to welcome new inhabitants and refugees from the settlement of Varesia, fleeing the war they did not want to be involved with.. And with the abandon of New Repose by Morningstar, Arcadia claims and expands deeper underground to continue the cleansing. Altough, what was thought that the previous demons of Nyth'jem ruins have disappeared only returned later, and with an Owldrake at their command. The Militia is preparing on how to face this issue... ☀ In tragic news, after a troublesome skirmish south of Arcadia, the Minister, and Head of Clinic, Yuka Asano has been captured and executed. The details are only not clear out of Arcadia, but the population grows more wary and scornfull towards the southern neighbours of Sanctum, watchfull on patrols at the borner. The nation mourns for the loss of Yuka, and is preparing a proper funeral announcement. ☀ Dashar, another resident of Arcadia, was announced to be captured by the ennemy. His fate is unknown yet, but actions are made. In regards of these recent attacks, the Militia has given safety instructions to the residents. The populace seems to be more compacted and closer to the natural walls and towers of the nation. ☀ As tensions rises, the council is renewed with new members :
☀ The Militia of Arcadia is invited to seek local alchemists, artificiers and combattants, to practice their battle skills and improve their equipement. Many artisans have shared their will to assit with ! ☀ In a surprise for some within Arcadia, the banners of the Final Frontier, thought to be lost to the invasion, are seen to be floating near the entrance of a specific appartement, attracting some curious local artificiers. ☀ After many years since Diallos Equisol's mistake, and the amendment of a perticular person, he is longer banned to enter Arcadia. ☀ With the past years welcoming refugees of new horizons, from those of the Final Frontier, Londo and now Varesia, the city has become a more heterogenous. Along with the Polytheist influence in the faith of Arcadia, the populace grows more understanding and in solidarity to cooperate together as many come or has survived tragedy and destruction in their homes. Arcadia has been for many a new way to Live once more. Even with the tight neighbourhood, the people are warm and welcoming for those who respect the local traditions and Harmony. Some Occultists and Apostates are still a sometimes wary, as long they do not cause hostilities. But curses upon those who would abuse of this kindness offered, as the last years since the invasion of Atrellya has forged the survivors to become more resolute if danger presents. Therefore, after a long period of hesitation between two directions, the current tendency shifts Arcadia to be considered a "Progressive" settlement. Relations
The Nation of Delphina The people welcome the Delphinians with the respect due, as Arcadia is a vassal of Dal'Thala. The inhabitants of each side are able to travel freely. The Kingdom of Fortune Exchanges have slowed in the past years, as the sailors and some relatives of the Captain of Fortune were away for the period of Krausmas. Perhaps in their return, Arcadia and Fortune could resume their project? Goldlight The people have mixed feelings towards the people of Goldlight. While at first there was some worry after a specific event years ago, the last years have improved clearly more in between the two. Patrols of each nation travel in between either for mercantile or diplomatic The Rest of Civilized Meranthe The Arcadians are warm and welcoming. As long visitors do not cause issues, wear known enemy crests, or are not notorious of wrongdoings, they can walk in the town freely... Except... The Oscuris / Sanctum The militia is more watchfull on the southern border. And only under exceptions, every Oscuri or individual bearing the crest of the "Lost Legion" is immediately to receive warning shots to deter their presence. Altough, the guard stands more defensively, focused on securing the border. Atrelya The populace is genuinely afraid and angered by their presence. Any display of agression from these people will be responded adequally, with no sympathy. (Redeeming) Apostates The Arcadians are reasoned that most of Apostates are misguided people. While they are cautious and remain ready to defend themselves, the apostates that surrendered and are going through their rehabiliation can find some caring gestures adressed to them, as long they are not wronged. A chance to find a proper life back once more. Laws and Edicts
☀ Being a vassal of Dal'Thala, Arcadia employs the same laws at them. ☀ The most important to consider is the prohibition of Occult magic practice within the territory. Black Magic, Necromancy, Riftmancy, Chaos Magic and any fundamental entropic and profane magic are also forbidden. - Exception for those under rehabiliation, as long they are colared and allowed to walk within Arcadia. - Failure to abide to this can involve proportional and escalating punitions accordingly. ☀ List of Persona Non-Grata (Specific indivudal banned from entry, regardless of their affiliations) : - State of Meranthe: Port Fortune - Tyata - 01-20-2025 ![]() Year 2154
Sailor's Talk and News! Ten years have passed since Stede Emeraldi, the man recognized at the time as the reigning Sovereign of Fortune, had taken over. Following this, actions were taken to once again further the production of Fortune, and they've began to enter a more prosperous state of Commerce, as their goal has always been. Age began creeping, however, and decisions were made to pass the crown from himself unto Ala Emeraldi. Some sailors were nervous about this change which seemed to be silent in its transition of power, but this was far from the only shift in interest experienced inside the nation. Enarr's presence within the Kingdom of Fortune is not something that can be denied. But with the presence of Kindle Sandsker as well as good connections to Arcadia flourishing, the religion of Verdion has been noted as an upcoming belief within the state, with Kindle being the religious leader of their group, the Rootkeepers. However, this is not to overtake the presence of Enarr; A festival is said to be held relatively soon by one of their resident Enarr-priests, Atlas Equisol. As such, Kindle has decided to drop her presence as Admiral of the Fortune's Navy while Anya Seacrest, noted for her long-time devotion to the Fortune kingdom, has been made the new Admiral of the Navy. Sailor's word travels fast across land, as this is not all... Word comes from across seas that the new Sovereign has interests in settling the now-empty islands around them in order to bring them together and expand Fortune's presence upon the seas once more, as they had sought to do before. This includes, but is not limited to, what was once the Traverse - the isle of Mina Solis. Such eagerness to expand her lands comes from the hopes to once more bring Fortune back together. Sailwinds has become a well-known name across Fortune and other friendly settlements. Sailwinds has also become notable within Fortune's research division under Stede Emeraldi, who still holds on to his title as the Lead Researcher. Some points of interest,

Quote: With the end of turbulent times and the unification of Serenity's leadership, the land in which has its purpose settled onto the betterment of the entirety of Meranthe, opens its gates as trading routes slowly blossom from the west towards the far east.
Traders and nomadic merchants becomes a common sight amidst their people, as Serenity moves some of its focus onto becoming a part of Meranthes market and influence.
![]() ☥ - Just as the tides of the sea are ever-changing, so too does Serenity evolve. With a renewed focus on eriching the city's culture, one of it's latests pursuits is the study of Spiritmancy. Guided by Oshun and the church of Saekanis under its leader, Zamekiri, those who dwell in Serenity now have a ample array of opportunities to learn and grow alongside the spirits that surround us all. To understand of the cycle and balance in which all of us are tied to. ☥ - With the destruction of several bastion of knowledge in Meranthe, Renki and Basili have begun a noble effort to secure the future of the younger generations. A University is being established for those who understand that knowledge can be as mighty as the sword. It's initial steps have already been taken - Serenity's Merchants and Oshun seek out scholars from all across Meranthe, gathering the finest mids. Wisdom is to be preserved, not only to enlighten the living but to ensure we remember the errors of the past. ☥ - During the attack of the Perfect Demon of Hunger onto Serenity's structure, the brilliant mind of Basil Mooney proved vital to Serenity's Survival. One of her strongest creations, a slumbering titan known as Colossus, was been seen emerging from the depths of the tallest dunes, prepared to defend Serenity against the dire threat. It's current fate remains unknown, but some non-magi speak of seeing it retreating to beneath the sands. ☥ - As the Gates of Serentiy are open to the various masses of Meranthe, traders carrying spices and armors forged by Serenity's best, quickly become a more present sight onto the full extent of Meranthe's continent. The most eloquent of such traders speaks to guards and those who show to have more coins onto their pockets, smiles and laughs exchanged as they promise to return as quickly as they can. Serenity openly extend its arms to Meranthe, seeking to forge lasting connections where friendship blossoms, and trade flourishes. ☥ - Rumors of Spriggans spotted on the edges of Meranthes forests spread among both Magi and Non-magi, sparking curiosity in all who hear such tales. Amidst the intrigue, one fact becomes clear to those seeking to uncover the truth: a steady influx of materials is seen being transported to Serenity. Within its walls and forges, numerous Runemancers labor tirelessly on two ambitious projects by Basil Mooney. The first being a upgrade to her already formidable Spriggan, while the second is a groundbreaking creation – A ship designed to claim the skies of Meranthe for the coastal city. ☥ - In the final years of war and famine, a increasing number of people sought refuge in the deserts, with many finding their way to Serenity. Those who shall join Serenity's army are to be met with the support of its captains and wardens, the city recognizing its youngest recruits as the heroes of its future. Meanwhile, those drawn to the culture of creation and enhancement are to be mentored by some of the most experienced artisans in which the city can offer, who are eager to share in their knowledge. As Serenity prepares for a possible influx of ambition and talent, it's philosophy resonates: "One's desire to grow is never to be humbled, it is to be watered and allowed to blossom into something in which can change the world in the same way in which the wind reshapes the dunes, beautifully." ☥ - With Oshun's return to Serenity, she dives headfirst into the constant flow of projects and training matches. Those who seek her guidance in matters of spiritmancy are directed by soldiers to find her, whether at the benches or in the arena. Many of her past projects are to be rebuilt from the ground up under her direction, as the elder woman speaks of being blessed by the spirits with an opportunity to improve and remake what had once been made. ☥ - With the Death of Rued Silvanas and the retirement of Daire Silvanas, a new decision has been made by the new leading figures of Serenity. In a bold shift in tradition, Serenity retreats from the state of a Monarchy, retiring from the idea of having a King, initially having two figures climbing onto power, now Oshun bears the burden of leadership. Now to guide Serenity into a new path, one of strength and renewal, so the dunes can glow as if golden - Just like how it used to be. ☥ - A pact of blood has been sealed, forging an alliance as two socities become brothers and sisters. The scattered Giants and Oni have found a home amidst the Silent Expanse, with Serenity's finest watching over them. As the merchants of the dunes extend their hand in aid, the people of Aeric Wilkinson are set on the path to become what they have always aspired to be - The proud people of Jotunheim. ☥ - When stagnancy threatened to take a root onto the land of golden sands, it was Warden Flown who ensured that Serenity's arena would never grow dull. Organizing tournmanets and joint training schedules, he sharpened the fangs of Meranthe's finest warriors. The most recent victor of his tournment being Katsuya Akatsuki. Serenity by itself prompts every Meranthian who dreams of strength of the body to step into the arena - Not only to grow as a fighter but to claim victory from the reigning champion. ![]() - Relations - Arcadia: Our closest neighbors, and perhaps more with time. RE: State of Meranthe - Milly - 02-13-2025 ![]() 2157AC There are many rumors and tales that circulate the Grove, and indeed the wider Republic after the Oracle's battle against the Revenant of Ragnarok, Varrach. Even more persist once he returns home, relatively unscathed except for a far quieter demeanor. Many whispers indicate that he's returned as Varrach's Undead, meant to lead Gloomlight and the people of the Republic as a sacrifice to the God slayer, while others believe he's made some infernal pact with the proverbial devil for his safe release. Regardless of the truth of these circumstantial rumors, very few know the honest truth - and the Oracle seems for it to stay that way.
◊ Upon conducting the ritual aimed to beseech Amier for guidance and assistance, Thomas Equisol has officially embraced devoting himself to Amier. While standing as the Oracle of Athelios his belief within the Warden remains fully committed, but now this belief extends to the entirety of the Pantheon. ◊ With his return he has resumed his duties of leading the city, most notoriously recently announcing Gloomlight's claim upon the deep mines known as The Depths. The Bastion has already begun assigning patrols to it to ensure nothing untoward happens within or around the mines. There are also rumors the indicate further plans for expansion and claims, but whether or not these are true is something people will have to wait to find out. It does appear, however, that Gloomlight is gearing up for expansionistic goals, with the Bastion shoring up its manpower as the settlement itself switches from Devoted to Conqueror, officially. ◊ There is talk of the small community of Nightview falling under military protection of Gloomlight officially, though when asked the Office of the Oracle was unable to properly confirm this for now. ◊ Work barrels forth towards a tournament aimed for the Squires of the Bastion to showcase their talents and strength. There are several great prizes available, and more information will be released when the Commander formally announces it! Naturally, the Bastion continues to recruit as it always has. Speak to a Knight or higher to join. ◊ Before his capture by Varrach, there had been a notorious tiff between himself and fellow Giant, Aeric Wilkinsson, though the reasons why remain unclear. However commoners and magi soldiers alike overheard the Oracle comment that if the Giant did not remove himself from Prospera's ruins, he would lose his other arm. Whether or not this bodes poorly for the Giants within their new community near Serenity is unclear at this time. ◊ Gerald, the Gunshroom, has become the official mascot of Gloomlight! The devoted protector of the Oracle's daughter, Cerise Equisol, the Gunshroom can be found escorting her around. Be weary, the Gunshroom is armed and dangerous. ◊ The death of the infamous Blood Magi, Galena, has stirred the hearts of many, and there is a national day of mourning declared for her long lived service to not just Gloomlight but to any who found themselves in need.
