Currently, there are certain spells that make the character 'blind' by turning the screen black, or white.
While the black screen is okay, for some?

The white screen is just too darn white!
Joke aside,  I had people mention how the bright white color genuienely hurts their eyes.
While the brightness can certainly emulate the 'flashbang' motive the spells in questions, I do not think it has to emulate it so well it makes people uncomfortable.

It should be possible to lower the brightness of the white flash to something more like a calm gray color? (RGB colors 192,187,178 according to the internet)

The currently two offending spells that I know of that use a white screen for blindness effects, are prism beam and Sanctified Flash.

Please!!! I know the joke is 'haha, that means it's working' or 'skill issue' but the color is definitely disruptive of gameplay.

I know personally, I have to stop fighting if someone uses one of those moves because the bright flash completely messes with post-concussive disorder and makes me very ill. I feel pretty bad being halfway through a fight and having to say 'I can't finish this battle because it makes me physically sick' but a color change would definitely help that!

SWAT agent EC who only has sanctified flash and lightspeed barred. 100% CD reduction.


Memes aside I agree though. The flash can be a bit straining on the eyes sometimes, and I can only imagine for people who actually have conditions that conflict heavily with that.

I get to feel the pain and confusion my character feels when getting hit with a flashbang
