The Progressive Core of the Republic

GOVERNMENT REFORMS
  • Large shifts in ranks are set underway as the Order stirs. Leadership structures are changed, with the arrival of Sarina Mellows on the seat of Captain-General. Agne Talalt leaves her position as Faith-Captain to become the new Archbishop, an advisory role. In her vacant place, Anya Talalt becomes the new Faith-Captain, a new title of Vicar-General. Gabriel Richter remains the War-Captain, in charge of the Militant Wing.

  • Soon after the 50th anniversary of the Republic, Garret Richter, the previous Archbishop and leader of the Martyr's Vigil, has been confirmed dead. His death was a ritual killing during a dinner by one of his companions using a blade--the intent of such not clear, though it was witnessed by many friends and family. The new High Chancellor of the Republic after Nix Bargiel's death is currently unknown.
ADDITIONS AND CIVIL REFORMS
  • Before the departure of the current Faith Captain, the Tribunal receives its own reforms. While not currently present in the Primer, there is talk of a new Patron being added. The Goddess of Destruction and Change, Vinaska. What tangible effects to be had on the Order as is up to debate--yet the Wards of the Tribunal say an updated version of the Primer is soon to release, with proper additions and edits to the tome to come.

  • Proper funding sees the Vigil expand at large. The wall overlooking the Shadowlands, previously to keep the Empire known as Skarnfel at bay, finds itself finally complete. Though there may not be a direct threat from that direction, it is a statement to the Martyr's Vigil capability to Endure. The Castle-City transforms into a Castle-Kingdom, work upon public structures making its way to reach the Northern Wall created in the times of Extinction only a few decades ago.

  • New recruits wishing to join the Militant Wing or Faith Wing are continued to be sought. Sorcerers seeking to join the Order are advised to contact the Captain-General, and people wishing to help with the crafts are to contact Anya Talalt. The Knight-Order continues its efforts to be both the Shield and Sword of the Republic; continuous preparations being one of them.

"It has been an honor to continue to serve the country as a wellspring of knowledge and innovation. There has been much in the land that has gone on, the passing of Garrert Richeter, a man who dedicated his life towards peace and Prosperity. The passiving of Nix Bargiel, one who even acted as my mentor in swordsmanship. More than just a woman, more than just a commander, more than a mother, more than a friend. She was an exemplar of humanity's effort. What one could achieve when everthing is put on the line for the sake of justice and of harmony. The Passing of Thomas Equisol...A Genius of the Highest Order, one whos innovation changed the face of mathematics, technology and spatial magics forever. A Collosus of innovation and dedication, an oathkeeper even in the face of his own name being tarnished."
"We will forever remember the Garret Richter - Goldenlight's Titan, and Nix Bargiel - Heavently Saint of Blades., and Thomas Equisol - The Quantum ....You will be missed"

The Last Head of the Hydra
Following the Republic of Paritas' decisive blow against the Crescent Isle and the Nation of Pscaela upon it, seeing the entirety of the Isle fall beneath the ocean's fury, the Civitas Hydraea has been dissolved. Refugees numbering in the thousands travel north towards the City of Art, the last bastion of true freedom of expression holding together in the wake of the crusade which succeeded in severing many heads of the fel serpent.

The Martyr of Mydaea, having taken the name of Rafael, makes a proclamation for all to hear.

Rafael, The Martyr of Mydaea Wrote:Many of you have found yourselves robbed of a home, by those who raise a blade of petty vengeance and subservience to tyrants and call it righteous. What is left in the wake of their acts? Progress? Nothing has changed. Nothing built from the ruination; only destruction, without change, without a new image left in its wake. Guardians of an old order, stagnant and rotting from the inside out, while they fail to realize the stench of decay coming from beneath their own shackles.

To you, those who yet remain:

There is a place for you, here. Your creativity and thirsts for knowledge shall be unbound, and perhaps you shall take the opportunity to join us in earnest. To integrate, to build a home for yourself, to aid in our aims; see the tyrannical shackles of Mydaea shattered and for the beginnings of a greater age to come.

All shall benefit from such an usherance, not just those who have placed their souls into Her care. You need only stand beside us, and embrace the change of this canvas.

✧ Following the destruction of Pscaela, many of its inhabitants find refuge within the City of Art. In the wake of this, it is pushed nearly to capacity in regards to living accomodations. Those seeking residence within Viritas should seek out Rafael or Yaeka Akatsuki for aid if they fail to find such on their own.

Ager, The Blind is appointed to the station of Viritas' Court Sorcerer. Even in a city of the fel, there is a place for those who seek to push the boundaries of magic.

✧ The Martyr, having faded in and out of the public eye in recent months, is found diligently studying deep into several magical avenues as preparations for the future of the city and their aims are pushed forward. In the wake of Pscaela's collapse, the following entropy of so many arriving within the city appears to have delayed these plans temporarily.

✧ While the city is available to any and all who wish to find residence there, those wishing to find a seat upon Viritas' Council; a circle of chosen individuals who serve as consultants and advisors, are encouraged to seek out the Martyr. Worship of Mydaea is not mandatory for such service, but respect of the Angel of Art is strongly encouraged should one wish to find a position of esteem within the city.

Relations:
The Republic of Paritas - Sever one head, or three. The spirit will live on.
Ad Contra Deos - Mydaea smiles upon the Nascent Primordial.
Meranthe - Indifferent

Quote:
When I arrived to this land, now almost 2 centuries ago, a younger me would have never in a million years expected this to happen. A younger, brighter, and foolish woman that took a chance on a city and its people, and loved what she saw. And so she grew, and so the years passed to decades, decades turned into centuries, and centuries turned into now.

Even still, after all this time, I love Aphros and its people. Those who I have tended to from child to adult for generations, watching Oracle by Oracle pass by, changing the world and my city with their own unique touch. The blur of life and potential is one I will never get sick of, its dance that stretches back and forth in a thick history, adorned on the tapestry of our people that weaves itself longer and brighter even now. I have served my Noble Duties in that Thread of the Civilization for a very long time, but times change.

And I must change with it.

It is a new role, a heavy yoke of responsibility. But I will serve, as I always have.

***  The Mantle of the Oracle is passed down to Ksceniya C. Montelione from the former Oracle Tanya S. Equisol, to the surprise of even the Dragon herself. A new age, or a curse to be looked back upon? Only time may tell.

*** A general call for Artificers and Alchemists roams from the two sister cities. To those who are interested in creation, they may find their services well lauded, and needed.

*** A stir of training once again ripples through the Bastion, noteworthy squires fresh out of training. Under the Service of the new Draconic Oracle, they rise to face a rapidly changing world.

*** The Montelione Public Lab stands open as it always has to those that enjoy bending the limits of creation, its tools and helpers ready and waiting within.

*** Talk of an ‘Isle of Spirits’ roams curiously throughout the city. For Spiritmancers or those interested in such a thing, they are encouraged to talk to Talguth, or the Oracle.

*** For those interested in the Aphrosian Faith, and the Tenets of the Ordinance, they are recommended to seek Pontifice Justia, the Head of the Asperean faith.

*** Recruitment to the Bastion is always open to those that are willing to learn and serve, whether Astra or Umbra. To those that wish to enlist, they are recommended to talk to Alaric Bargiel, the new Commander of the Bastion.

*** In the wake of the news of Garret Richter's death, the new High Chancellor, Nix Bargiel, previously thought to be dead, was found alive in the Southern Seas. Her work as head of the Republic of Paritas is to continue. However, due to the necessity of recovery, she has entrusted Ksceniya C. Montelione and Agne Talalt with her responsibilities until further notice. The High Chancellor left one statement: "There is much work left to be done.
